I dont leave reviews unless I feel STRONGLY about something. Place was recommended to us by a coworker.Service was fantastic, they handled a large number of orders in an efficient manner and overall they had nice vibesThe place itself was pretty with some backdrop set ups. Nice lighting, very minimalist front counter. Now what you really read this for: the drink was...mid at best. I got brown sugar creme Brulee with low sweetness. I had everyone in my group taste it and they all said it tasted bad/off compared to other places. I only drank half before throwing the rest away.I liked my friends pandan milk tea with mungbean and the pink Boba but the Boba itself wasnt anything special, it didnt really have any flavor.Overall, Im sure some of their drinks are fine but if everyone in my group who got a drink that they are normally familiar with said they didnt like it, I think its just not a good place for Boba. Hope you like aesthetics though. All 4 of us will not be coming back.*edit: thank you for replying to my review, it shows you care about customer service, which i could tell from your counter people :) . We had to go back home so we couldnt ask for a replacement, but Im sure they would have done it. Some other reviews make interesting points about asking for modifications or replacements and being denied them or lied about them eg asking for no sugar but it being really sweet, asking for less ice but told they dont make it that way. Also I cant comment on the brown sugar Boba because they had run out of it. They had to handle two large parties so that might have been why and I totally understand that. It was a clean and pretty place.

Update from 6/5/23I came back again (4th visit) and this time, decided to branch out and give more things a try. I'm glad i did.I ordered another milk tea, only this time around, got an Oolong classic, less ice, 50% sweet, with lychee jelly. And man, it was amazing. Such wonderful fruitiness to the jelly in a good quality oolong. Definitely getting this again!Great service as always. Very welcoming vibe. This is hands down, at least 5 stars.————————————————It's my third time here, and I have to say it's been consistently good.So far, I've only tried the Taro Milk Tea with brown sugar boba.I like that you can fine tune the amount of sugar you want. First time, got it at 50% sugar, then the last two times, at 30%.They seem to be really well organized. Each time I've ordered, it's been ready well before the expected time (not that I personally mind waiting!). The store is always clean, and it's very clearly marked where to go for walk-in and pick-up.The people there have consistently been very pleasant. As someone who can be shy the first couple of times I try a new place, I felt very comfortable. And the milk tea itself, I have to say so far it's my favorite here in Sacramento! I can tell they use quality ingredients and seem to put care in making their milk teas. Next time, I plan to branch out and try some other flavors. But the taro is really good.Definitely recommend !

The teas here are pretty good. The customer service isnt great. The employees seemed annoyed that we were there. My daughter dropped her tea right outside the door and I went in to buy her a new one. I feel like they should have offered me an extra stamp on the buy-however-many-get-one-free cards for the trouble or at least expressed condolences over the lost tea. Lol!But instead they seemed annoyed and actually shorted me a stamp! I paid for 3 teas but only got 2 stamps and one of them we didnt even get to try.Its really disappointing to drop your food/drink and not even get to try it. Ive been places where they replaced it on the house. I dont expect places to do that because its totally not their fault but to treat a paying customer like its also not your problem makes me kinda wanna not make it their problem by not coming back. It really seems like they dont care about my business or the fact that I immediately walked back in and purchased at full price a whole new tea.

Absolutely phenomenal place to have some time off, and chill with your friend, relative, or significant other. They not only serve tea, but have many other options like snacks, smoothies, and junk food if you cant live without it. Price is high on most of the items listed on the menu, but at the end of the day, your belly aint leaving empty because you get so much for the price..annnd its tasty too. A tip: dont go here on an empty stomach because youll end up buying way more than you could eat. At least have something before you leave or make a conscious choice when you look at the menu, and dont listen to your urges. Further, its clean but the bathroom smells bad as soon as you open that door, but not after it. Its near that area that the stench lingers. You have game table too here; you can either play chess or Jenga or any other game youd like, and yes, you dont have to bring anything. Customer service is fair; welcoming in with the desire to know their orders or answer any inquiries, but forgot the cups of water we had had ordered and had to tell them at least multiple times that we did so and hadnt received so far. I know busyness can take its toll or we have the tendency to forget as humans. Other than that, fantastic place to ingest favorite foods and drinks. Enjoy your time here! ?

In short, there are many items that need to be resolved for this place to stay in business. The quality of their product will make me a repeat customer, but the frequency of my visits will depend on their ability to overcome their many flaws. My family visited twice on opening day--once at noon and again at 6:30PM. In both cases, there were less than six people in line and we waited over 20 minutes each time to just place our order. After ordering the first time, our drink order was fulfilled in under 5 minutes. During our evening visit, we waited 15 minutes for our ice cream after ordering. The wait time the second time around was due to the lack of employees, and one person playing one man band behind the counter (answering questions from both customers and the untrained cashier, giving samples, scooping ice cream, calling out orders, and running cups back and forth from the register to the kitchen). The things that need to change ASAP and shouldnt cost the company significant dollars:- Two employees (cashier and runner) are not enough to take care of customers. Have more staff behind the counter to answer questions, provide ice cream samples, and start taking drink/ice cream orders before customers reach the cashier. During slower hours, these employees can also clean the bathrooms, empty trash, and interact with customers (rather than just apologize for taking so long). Doing the little things goes a long way for the customer experience.- Train your cashiers on how to use the POS system properly. This creates a large bottleneck.- Have your drink stickers print directly to the kitchen area. Currently, the labels print at the cashier, they have to put the labels on cups, and then have them run them to the kitchen window (about 15-20 feet away).Changes that would be nice:- If things remain busy, run two cash registers.- Widen the section for those standing in line. There is currently very narrow standing room and it would be a nightmare for someone with claustrophobia or young kids.- Open earlier. People may not want ice cream at 10:00am, but they will definitely would drink boba tea at that time.- Stay open later (til 9:00 or 10:00pm?). Your most likely demographic is 15-30 year olds---think about it. Most boba shops in the area stay open until 9-11pm on weeknights- Add a Vietnamese Iced Coffee DRINK to the menu. The VIC ice cream is awesome... but Id come back 3x a week if there was a drink to go with it.- Dont charge customers extra for adding a regular boba. Boba is in your name, yet you add an up-charge when people want it in their drink. Specialty add-ins deserve to be marked up.- Add a customer loyalty program to reward repeat visitors.- Dont raise your drink prices. Currently Sweet Lab is on the high end of pricing for their teas. Most of your competitors are charging $2.75-3.50 for regular sized milk tea (boba included) with an extra $0.50-0.75 if they are ordering a larger size.- Run regular specials. This can encourage new customers to come in and get returning customers to try new drinks/ice creams.I plan to go again in the next several days and hopefully will be able to change my review for the better. With the right changes, this local business should be able to thrive!

Great tea, excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, clean restroom, clean shop, chill ambiance, and second family vibes.Go just go. I found this place by luck. I was looking for a place to study before my test. Google took me here. The ambiance is calming, which I needed cause I was stressing over this test. This is a real tea shop, not play tea party, meaning they place selected loose leaf tea in a bag and steep it, it is not a concentrated flavored liquid from a pump. They are preserving tradition, quality, and value. I know some may not understand this, and thats ok. I consulted with the gentleman behind the counter about my drink selection prior to placing my order at the standing tablet. Staff is knowledgeable about various teas along with health benefits and properties. While I was waiting for my tea with tumeric to steep, the Tea Sommelier brought me a clear glass or warm freshly juiced grapefruit juice with cinnamon and a shot of chlorophyll. I understand grapefruit can interfere with certain medication, this is not an issue for me. This drink changed my mind about grapefruit and I have incorporated it into my daily routine since. I ordered a chai for a subtle pick me up as opposed to my usual body jolting coffee. The cardamom wasnt too overpowering, cinnamon was subtle, I could def taste the ginger.Every patron was offered a warm greeting followed up with small talk about drink preferences, todays agenda, past event, etc. This is the Tea shop version of the show Cheers where everyone knows your name and if they dont, they will before you leave.
Tea Bar & Fusion Cafe-Sacramento

Ive always had their London broil bowl with brown rice, baby greens and with the miso sauce. I happened to be in Sac so per usual I got my regular order to go. My husband actually went in to place an order while I was in the car with the kids. My son had to use the restroom so I headed inside to switch with my husband. To my surprise there were no customers inside. After using the restroom, I went up to ask the worker behind the bar if my order under my husbands name was ready. She handed me the drink order only. So I asked if the food order was also ready and she looked confused. She went to the kitchen staff and asked about it. She never came back to check in with me and avoided me. So I just stood there awkwardly with my son. 10 minutes later and she came out with my order. I checked the bag and there were no utensils so I went ahead and grabbed some from.the front. In total it took them 20 minutes to complete my order. A bit long for no customers. So as my husband drove off, I dug right in. As I opened, the meat was not seasoned in that ginger savory flavor. It was cut in thin slices. Ive never seen it cut in this way. Usually thicker so its not dry and the pieces i got were super dry. The photo says it all. The avocado that was given to me also had a lemon flavor to it. Imo they squeezed lemon juice on top to prevent browning? Usually its freshly cut and into slices but I just got a mushed quarter scoop of avocado.Im not saying to not go but my experience was so bad this time I probably will avoid this Tbar location.

Few weeks back my wife and I ordered via the mobile online order site. All was smooth until when driving to this location to find it had not been made let alone even started (or at least thats what we were told). When my wife questioned the cashier after waiting 20 minutes patiently passed the pick up time given, the employee rolled her eyes and said well what happened was we gave your order to someone else who left so we are waiting for him to BRING IT BACK TO US. Mind you my wifes order left the store 20-30 minutes prior to her arrival. After the last conversation with the disrespectful employee who should take a course in customer service, said well I guess we can remake your order of course with attitude in her body language and voice. Not only just her but the other two employees behind the counter all chimed in with rude words like you need to be a little more understanding cause we are really busy. The other employee was clearly showing signs of frustration when asked to remake the order she slammed and threw spoons and other items around the sink. Either she cant handle a slightly fast paced work environment or she simply cant be a nice person in this business. The gentleman who originally received the wrong order returned with the item and as you can imagine it was very watered down. Regardless it is not ok to attempt to receive a perishable good to intentionally pass it on to another customer when it has already left the facility. This is food and safety 101. This situation was handled very well via the county of Sacramento department of public health. They were diligent and communicated with my wife before and after the inspection of this location. As for this place they did not handle it well at all. Even when I placed a call to the store. It seemed they knew exactly who I was when just starting to explain the happenings. To the store owner please invest in better more respectful employees that actually enjoy there job. Its ok to work a little harder to keep your store up and running properly.
Hidden Dumpling House Midtown
2801 P St, Sacramento, CA 95816, United States
A friend and I went here when craving some dumplings. We had a mixed experience. tl;Dr - great food, not so great dining experience. For one thing, we tried to make reservations knowing the small space. We called ahead, about 15 minutes ahead asking if we can put our name on the wait list. They told us no, we had to be there in person, which was fine. But when we got there in person, they just put us on a wait list for 30/40 minutes. Then, while waiting those 30 and 40 minutes, we watched as upwards of 10 different tables sat empty both inside and outside the restaurant for long periods of time. A lot of people were really confused, as to-gi orders would walk inside and order at the register and sit down at the empty tables while they waited for their food, but other people on the wait list waiting to sit down where waiting for their turn to be called up.A small note about the space, too - It is way too small for the kind of service they get to both not take reservations and continue taking to go orders through the door. They have maybe 10 tables for seating inside, max, and about a half a dozen outdoors tables. This would normally make it feel intimate and cozy, but with the fast pace of the servers, the constant line going from the register out the door, it just makes the space seem cramped and hectic. When we did eventually get sat, we were ignored for the first 15 minutes. We were given water by a busboy right away, but we didnt even get our drink orders until we flagged down a waiter after watching her service tables had been sat after us.After all of this, though, things were great. Because the kitchen was slammed every time eight tables were sat at once, food came out fairly slowly - appetizers we had ordered came out at the end of the meal, for example. But it kind of created a more conversational vibe, my guess and I would share a single plate for about 5 minutes until the next plate would come out, etc. We made it work, but I know other tables were getting frustrated with the pace of things coming out - not everyone is interested in sharing all of their plates, and expected to receive all of their entrees for the entire table at the same time.Once the food got to the table though? Excellent. Easily some of the best Asian inspired food Ive had in a while. The smell inside the restaurant was heavenly - which sucked, sitting outside for 40 minutes smelling what we werent eating. But as we were eating? Every dish that came out of the kitchen was an inspiration, something new or interesting we wanted to try. Those special note were the garlic green beans which are apparently so popular they come out almost instantly. The sauce was perfect, the green beans cooked just so they were crispy but not soggy. We got a plate of chicken chow mein noodles, and my typically demure guest was literally eating some of them with her bare hands. We took leftovers home, and two days later the noodles were still better than some fresh chow mein Ive had in the area. We also got their sesame chicken, and it was so perfectly fried while still having the gooey sesame sauce on the outside. We both thought it could use a little more salt, so we put a couple dashes of soy sauce on top of them, but that was our preference. We easily would have gobbled that chicken up with our bare hands and no extra seasoning. The dumplings, though, we werent as impressed by. We ordered their special and some soup dumplings. Their special was chicken and mushroom, which was good but had a heavy 5 spice seasoning that seemed to overpower most of the other flavors. We also got pork and chive soup dumplings, but no soup dumpling spoons until we asked for them. And when we did try to eat them, the dumplings tore so easily that we werent able to really enjoy the soup. Still good, just not as impressive as the other food items we ordered, which was a surprise considering its a dumpling house. Will definitely order again, just probably take out.
T Coffee Tea

T% Coffee + Tea is one of the newer aesthetic tea shops in the Sacramento area. Located in the Safeway complex on 19th St., one can conveniently stop by and grab a drink after finishing some grocery shopping as a well-earned treat (or go before and sip as you shop that works too).Walking into T% the first thing that will catch your eye is their all-white interior and aesthetic, which undoubtedly will appeal to anyones inner minimalist. All ordering at T% is done at the kiosk and they have two in the store. During busy hours it can be a little crowded and you may have to wait a bit to place (and receive) your order, but the wait is definitely worth it! Ill also note that there isnt a ton of interior seating at T%, but if you come at an off-hour then there should be room for you a couple friends to sit down and have a chat.I ordered their lychee flamingo with panda boba (a mix of regular boba and agar boba). There wasnt much description of what exactly the lychee flamingo drink was (which I will note is pretty true for their more uniquely named drinks); however, as a fan of lychee anything I went ahead and gave the drink a try. I discovered that the lychee flamingo is essentially lychee slushy with lychee pieces mixed in. The panda boba was a nice touch, and to be honest Im not usually a fan of boba but theirs was such high quality that I thoroughly enjoyed the bite it added.Although, I didnt order this myself, Ill also highlight that T% offers a pretty unique boba topping - drinkable mochi. My friends have tried it and swear that everyone has to try it at least once (and I should probably take my own advice and try it the next time I stop by).If youre into aesthetic tea shops with high-quality drinks, then T% Coffee + Tea is the place for you!
