Comment: Ok, first off this place is my happy place.the food here is absolutely amazing, it nourishes the soul. for the amazing quality of the food the wait is worth it. today i shared some chili n it was seasoned to perfection, the texture was on point, n it was still steaming when we got to the end of the bowl.every time i come here i always get an iced vanilla latte with oat milk n its crafted to perfection not too sweet not to bitter, n its the perfect amount too.leo the owner makes sure his customers are happy n well fed with good food. he interacts with his customers quite a bit to make sure everything is good n well taken care of. he has mastered the craft of customer service, kudos to him.the atmosphere here is so calming, the music is super chill n overall the vibes here are immaculate, n so welcoming.if you are very down in oak park make sure you stop by n get your filling, i promise you wont regret it.

Comment: Listen, this place is such a hidden gem, it doesn’t try to be more than it is with flashy names or super complicated menu items. It’s really good food for your heart. It’s reasonably priced and it’s not super greasy and forsure has this “home made” feel to it.Dine in is definitely the way to go, the cook/owner is super down to earth and friendly. Good food get you through the door but the great service and atmosphere is what keeps you. SHOUT OUT TO LEO, gave me chilli on the house.Service can be a little slow when it comes to the food cook time but that’s only because it’s usually only one person working, which is the owner, Leo. He definitely does his best to make a connection with the customer though, which makes up more then enough for it.

Comment: I attended a private event at The Classy Hippie and was absolutely amazed at the knowledge I gained about the healing property of tea and even how to pair it with foods, who knew? Leo, the owner was very knowledgeable about the different properties of tea and shared a wealth of information on the subject. Im not usually a tea drinker, I prefer coffee, but afterwards I purchased several blends of tea and will be enjoying it more often. Thank you Leo and Rico for hosting us. Comment: Alright this will be a lengthy review so I’ll split it into sections:Food- so far I’ve only had the cinnamon roll and the chicken/rice dish, both were amazing. The rice had a lot of garlic, which was perfect for me and the cinnamon rolls are made in house! I look forward to trying the rest of their food, as I come here quite often.Drinks- alright, so I get the London fog latte with oat milk every time I come here, and actually just bought 2 ounces of his lavender infused earl grey tea leaves, but I’ve also tried a sip of someone else’s coffee here and the quality is far beyond most places I’ve been to. I’m definitely looking forward to trying the rest of the teas, especially now that I have those leaves to make my favorite order at home!Service- in all honestly, the wait times are a bit long, but that’s what happens if you want quality food and drinks. The owner is super friendly, and is kind to all customers.Atmosphere- the music is good and the people are even better. There are a lot of regulars, and the owner is fast to have good rapport with everyone who comes in. I bring my infant with me regularly, and everyone shows us kindness. I meet my queer crochet group and we are able to talk freely, which is a lovely thing.Overall, this is a lovely spot that does wonderful things for our community while providing great food and drinks.

I was looking for a place to study before my test. Google took me here.The ambiance is calming, which I needed cause I was stressing over this test. This is a real tea shop, not play tea party, meaning they place selected loose leaf tea in a bag and steep it, it is not a concentrated flavored liquid from a pump. They are preserving tradition, quality, and value. I know some may not understand this, and thats ok. I consulted with the gentleman behind the counter about my drink selection prior to placing my order at the standing tablet. Staff is knowledgeable about various teas along with health benefits and properties. While I was waiting for my tea with tumeric to steep, the Tea Sommelier brought me a clear glass or warm freshly juiced grapefruit juice with cinnamon and a shot of chlorophyll. I understand grapefruit can interfere with certain medication, this is not an issue for me. This drink changed my mind about grapefruit and I have incorporated it into my daily routine since. I ordered a chai for a subtle pick me up as opposed to my usual body jolting coffee. The cardamom wasnt too overpowering, cinnamon was subtle, I could def taste the ginger.Every patron was offered a warm greeting followed up with small talk about drink preferences, todays agenda, past event, etc. This is the Tea shop version of the show Cheers where everyone knows your name and if they dont, they will before you leave.

Comment: My visit started with getting a vanilla horchata latte from a guy hustling behind the counter and it was DAMN good. Went to get some loose tea blends and asked for some help. My girlfriend and I got the distinct pleasure to meet an amazing person, Leo. He’s a co-owner and the mix master of tea among so many other things. I can’t say enough for the effort he puts into what he does and the results it produces. Comment: Last Monday I attended “Guest Chef Mondays” hosted by Classy Happy Tea Co. The event took place at 3200 Broadway, an accessible and convenient location for those who drove like me. The star of that night was Chef Piag, a Thai woman who has lived in Sacramento for more than 20 years and is recognized in the community for the exquisite seasoning of her food. And thats not a lie. The smell coming from the grill made my mouth water. Chef Piags Thai-Californian menu represented the fusion between where she grew up and her home for the past 20 years. An appetizer of grilled vegetable skewers, marinated chicken, grilled pork, roasted cauliflower. Thai salad. Rice. The special touch was a smoky hot sauce that Chef Piag prepared especially for this event. Topped off with the obligatory finish of mango and sticky rice! Neighbors and local figures attended and gave a sense of community to the event. We all left with full bellies and happy hearts. I made two new friends and took home Chef Piags sauce recipe! This was the first in a series of guest chef events taking place every Monday at Classy Hippie Tea Co. It was a well-priced, delicious and community-based experience. Ill be back next Monday, and I hope youll join me too. Come, eat delicious food and make new friends!

Comment: When I finished my coffee I found it full of Grounds. Thats probably why it was so bitter and strong. The cream they offered was curdling, so I opted for a few half and half containers. There was one sugar option available and the pastries in the display case looked old. There were no real food menu items worth ordering. This place should probably stick to tea because the coffee food and service all sucked.

It worked so good for me. I didnt notice at first until my husband said I was falling asleep a lot faster and then I noticed that I was sleeping mostly through the night. I would highly recommend this place. The other teas are good also we bought a bunch. I really like the Blue Ivy is my next favorite.

I love coming here after eating way too much at brunch with the girls, getting a tea recommended for digestion, and relaxing in the sanctuary while I digest my food before going home. Leos knowledge of tea and the body is so on point. I just went in the other day at the start of a cold. Leo recommended a specific tea blend for my sore throat. I drank it and then took a yoga class and felt so much better afterwards. This is a place to be well.
