Lets get this out of the way first. The coffee is good and I enjoyed my daily walks to Identity . Keyword... enjoyed. My coworkers and I look forward to taking a break from the chaos that is work by taking a stroll down to Identity and picking up a delicious cup of coffee. Again, I did enjoy their product. However, what I witnessed from the individual that identified himself as the owner of Identity was appalling and disheartening. A 2nd coworker had accompanied us on the walk and went to her preferred coffee spot prior to meeting up with us (We asked her to meet us at Identity). While I was paying for my coffee and 2 bags of beans (a weekly pricey routine), I could hear an individual launching into a tirade directed at my coworker who had just walked in. Although I didnt get the entire interaction, what I did here was You are what is wrong with America directed at my coworker, who embarrassed and shocked promptly left the establishment. As I waited in the uncomfortable and tense silence of the shop with my other coworker waiting for her drink (had about 8 customers inside), I would come to find out that the owner was not happy that my colleague was holding a competitors coffee while in HIS shop. Instead of politely asking her to not bring outside drinks in, he chose to take the vile route and attacked her verbally and questioned her character as a person. He clamored that THEY could make a drink better than hers. This interaction made other customers and his own employees uncomfortable, and made me feel guilty for having asked my coworker to meet us at the establishment. While my coworker, embarrassed and mortified, waited for us outside, a customer that had witnessed the altercation came to apologize to her. Something this individual did not need to do but felt compelled to (kindheartedness still exists).Im not one that typically writes reviews (here I am writing one at midnight), however this incident troubled me profoundly. The establishment has now lost multiple customers. Something that is unfortunate, considering the difficult times we are in.I will chose to patronize a local shop that shows respect for the members of the community it serves.
Peets Coffee
3700 Crocker Dr Suite 170, Sacramento, CA 95818, United States
Out of the bigger mainstream coffee shops that are out there, Peets Coffee would have to rank tops on my list. The stronger and bolder roast of beans is what has had me sold for many decades. And in my honest opinion, their overall experience top Starbucks on any given day. The only problem is that they are few and far between. The location I am reviewing is one that opened back in the summer of 2019 at Crocker Village.Located directly off of Sutterville Rd. and adjacent to Crocker Dr. in the Curtis Park neighborhood of Sacramento, this Peets Coffee shares the same parking lot as Safeway and many other eateries. It is just a couple minutes away from Sacramento City College which makes it a convenient spot for students to grab their morning jumpstart. They also have very generous hours of operation by opening at 6am every day but they do close quite a bit early at 5pm. This location (as is the case with many others) has no drive through so on any given day, you must walk in for ordering and/or mobile/pick-up orders.Parking can be a bit of a challenge, especially during the midday lunch rush and/or on weekends. Since there are many other dining spots here as well as a major supermarket, it can be a bit tricky. But once inside, you will notice just how spacious this place is. They have ample seating throughout, large windows that allow natural light in, and a very sizable area where you can purchase bottled beverages, teas, snacks, and Peets-related merchandise. There are also two unisex public restrooms at the rear of the building.Since I am already very familiar with the Peets menu, I usually stick to their drip coffee and lattes. On my most recent experience, I opted for a hot vanilla latte and a slice of banana nut bread. I am already a longtime member of Peets rewards and use their app to gain extra points towards future purchases. The ordering process here is very simple while the baristas have always been super kind and helpful. At least at this location. Both my bread (which was heated up) and latte were ready within a couple minutes.Overall, Petes Coffee @ Crocker Village was an above average experience and just as good as many of their other brick-and-mortar locations. I love how this part of Sacramento has been completely revitalized with the Crocker Village Housing Development with affluent single family homes literally across the street. And since youre not in Midtown nor deep in the suburbs, this is a great diverse location with all demographics and walks of life. My rating, an above average four stars.

Ive been to this peets 3000 times. My latest today. Ive had literally one of everything on the menu on purpose. Also i dont work for peets or any company they own but i dooooo looooove coffee. I probably spend $4500 annually on coffee alone between peets, Starbucks, and Nespresso vertuo. This peets is hit. Never miss. Abd further more after trying the whole menu i can say without a doubt the best drink by far at any Peets is the caramel Frappe. You usually dont go to peets for flavor and go for only strength since their weakest coffee is about 14 times stronger than Starbucks strongest coffee. I get free Starbucks rewards all the time Ive tried 10 shots of espresso and one Peets Carmel frappe lasts like 5 hours longer and hits way harder. But it also tastes really good. Dont get anything with oat milk or anything seasonal. The Carmel frappe is the one. Its so good i bought two for me. One fir the morning one for the afternoon. ?Update January 2024still smashing Starbucks and their fake coffe base drinks and dutch bros only had chocolate milk so I question if they even sell coffee. Peets got these beans, the drink tastes good but you can taste fresh beans in the sips. I go now practically everyday
Anchor & Tree Coffee Roasting Co
1412 16th St, Sacramento, CA 95814, United States
As I get older, I find joy in maximizing productivity in my life. However, with doing so, I have to be real intentional about making sure that I designate time to connect with friends. Therefore, when I saw that a new coffee shop (that happens to be woman-owned…yay!) opened in the downtown area, I reached out to a close friend of mine to see if she was available to catch up over a cup of Jane. Prior to meeting up, my friend informed me that she (a coffee connoisseur) did some research and saw that the shop uses an eco- friendly electric roasting machine…her excitement definitely rubbed off on me!Upon arrival we were greeted by two friendly employees that were serving a large party. When it was our turn, both employees were patient as we perused the many options on the “specials” menu. Based on a recommendation, I chose to order the Hippie Speedball Latte which contains 10mg of CBD.I'm not by any means a coffee connoisseur, which often leads to me chugging a cup of coffee just to reap the benefits of the caffeine. However, the flavor of the coffee was so rich and flavorful, that I sipped it slow to make it last (similar to how I would sip a delicious margarita). As a warning for folks that may be sensitive to CBD, you will definitely feel the effects! Halfway through the cup, I felt so relaxed that I could have curled up within the wicker egg chair and taken a nap.I enjoyed the simplistic, hippie vibes of Anchor and Tree Coffee Roasting, I'm already looking forward to my next visit so that I can try the Galactic Sauce Latte!

I would give negative stars if I could. I ordered 4 Blended Iced Mocha Caramel Swirl Javivas with extra Chocolate and Caramel. I called because the extra Chocolate and Caramel was not added. I called as soon as I recieved my order to report the mistake and hopefully get the correct drinks. The last told me the manager wasnt in but that she would have him call me as soon as he got there. 2 hours later, Michael (the manager) calls me and tells me that Im wrong, that there were chocolate swirls all around the inside of all 4 of my cups and that he watched her make my drinks himself. He wasnt there when I called the first time and it took him 2hrs to call me back, so how could have possibly watched her make my drinks? Do you see the chocolate swirls around the inside of the cups? I dont and there is still nearly half of one of the drinks still in the cup so obviously my drinks werent made correctly and they refuse to take responsibility. Offered me one free drink that I could redeem only today, either on this shift or the next one. I spent over $30 on these drinks, they were delivered late, and made incorrectly, they did not contain items that I clearly paid extra for and did not receive. I absolutely will not order from this Peets ever again! This is unacceptable!! Michael ought to be fired, he is hands down the worst manager Ive ever dealt with in the food industry.

Never knew they had a peets here til i google where was the nearest one..The signage is more vintage old, doesnt pop out, so i never knew even though i go across the street to temple coffee often..This plaza is cute design like an neighborhood rich looking like boutiques holidayish spirit plaza during x mas. Bet its pretty at night time with the lights and etc..So parking was ok, glad it wasnt busy but the parking lot is small and limited with a good amount of business and wells fargo in the same lot..When i went into peets they had 2 registers to order which was confusing because i thought one side was for picking up only. But yea surprised how many people sat down inside studying reading a book, on their laptop, people watching, or just chilling..I got y drink quick and went straight outside and chilled on the chairs and table. It was very relaxing and just enjoyed the view and people watch. Great peets to check out if your in the area. Thanks for reading

Okay such a cool, viby, beautiful place and you start getting super high expectations like the coffee has to be top notch! before this i have stalked trust bakery on ig( the bakery they serve there) and I have been dying to try it so to summarize I was very excited & had pretty high expectations. The coffee was SO watered down it was actually shocking. I got a maple latte and I will never get that again. My friend got a matcha latte with oat milk & vanilla syrup and she loved it. Coffee wise I would never come here for that. However I was super excited to try the bakery and I try to chocolate doughnut which I don't regret trying. It was so light it didn't make me feel like nasty or gross afterwards it literally tasted good and felt healthy I don't know why. I do think it could've been a little bit more chocolatey but it was it really sweet it was more of a mild chocolate so I loved them for that. I honestly think I would come back again just to try the other varieties of those donuts. However as a coffee shop only gets three stars because the coffee I got was so water down. I'm open to trying it again maybe something went down the one time I came however at this point the coffee is enough for me. The customer service is really great though & aesthetic:)) so we took a bunch of pictures lol

The Based Coffee Company
2947 Ramona Ave Suite 4B, Sacramento, CA 95826, United States
The Based Coffee is an extraordinary coffee shop that stands out from the rest. What sets it apart is the exceptional taste of its coffee, which is unmatched by any other coffee Ive ever had. The flavor profile is complex, with a perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness that is truly one-of-a-kind. And the best part is that it is surprisingly affordable, which makes it accessible to everyone. But what I love most about The Based Coffee is their espresso. It is truly a work of art, with a smooth texture and a bold, rich flavor that coats the tongue in a satisfying way. The finish is equally impressive - it leaves you with a pleasant aftertaste that lingers long after the last sip. If youre a coffee lover, The Based Coffee is a must-visit destination that will leave you craving for more!

As a customer I observed very unprofessional behavior and poor leadership from the owner. There was fault on my side admittedly, however, the situation was handled in a way that did not have to escalate in the way it ensued. The event which transpired was not of severity equivocal to the reaction acquired. It is understandable that individuals may experience days emotionally insurmountable to them leading to diffuse behavior. However, it does not necessitate certain behavior. The individual, who I presume is the business owner, was very aggressive and physically intrusive. He stood 1-2 feet of where I was sitting and raised his voice while using obtrusive and volatile language. His voice was inherently loud enough to be heard from the inside of the coffee shop. He continued to berate my friend and I until he finally decided to walk away while shouting an explicit statement. Then on, my friend and I decided to leave as the situation which transpired left us feeling uncomfortable. However, the coffee and product/s were of great quality and taste. Additionally, the charitable cause of the organization is one to admire, albeit, unprofessional behavior and poor leadership.
