Comment: This place is so friendly. From the moment we arrived and were offered fresh baked cookies and tea, espresso or water to the attention given to both our room and the breakfast area we could not have had a better stay. The breakfast is especially good with great choices and cooked to order. We will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Santa Barbara.

Comment: We arrived for our anniversary getaway to check in at 3pm and the room was ready including our ordered romance package of chilled champagne, chocolate dipped strawberries, tray of assorted bubble bath accessories and of course, the red rose petals that dotted the floor and bed. We very much enjoyed our relaxed 3-night stay, the proximity to the beach and wonderful restaurants (highly recommend- Toma on Cabrillo Ave-5 min walk.), 24-hr availability of an espresso machine and afternoon cookies were generous touches. Despite the above, the included breakfast is very average and limited and the Wi-Fi at times is less than full strength. - both issues did not meet our expectations specially for a highly rated B&B inn. Otherwise, we may consider a return and monitor future reviews.

Comment: Stop! Stop!!! Stop looking for a place to stay in Santa Barbara.You have found it with the Eagle Inn. It is so charming and hospitable. Everything very fresh and clean. I found my room very comfortable - and the staff was wonderful. Thank you to all. In the morning I had a freshly made yummy full breakfast. Its in a great location - close to restaurants and near the ocean. It is Santa Barbara at its finest, and its reasonable. You will come back to the Eagle Inn, as I have. I should mention that I also indulged in some of the spa services that were great... So relaxing. Youll love this Inn, as I have.

Comment: Overall everything was great! We loved the room.The only thing I would like to see some added choices with your breakfast options. Coffee and juice is ok. But I don’t drink coffee and borderline diabetic. A glass of orange juice is ok, but I tend to drink 2% or regular milk. I took a glass from the coffee tray. Staff was great and friendly! We’ve stayed here before and will do it again when in SB.

Comment: We stayed at the Eagle Inn for one night on our road trip. The Inn and the staff members are very welcoming. Peter at the front desk greeted us with genuine warmth and gave us helpful tips on activities and restaurant options around the area. We enjoyed the clean, comfy, spacious, and artfully decorated room. I love how quickly the shower heats up and the abundant water pressure. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. There is an espresso machine in the lobby. Why more can I ask for? :-)

Comment: We really enjoyed staying at the Eagle Inn. I booked our stay in advance but had change my reservation last minute and then the next day I needed to change it back to the original day, needless to say I was a bit of a difficult customer but Peter was absolutely amazing and provided us with excellent customer service and showed the utmost professionalism. On arrival Peter checked us in quickly, he remembered and congratulated us on our anniversary and birthdays, offered us delicious freshly baked cookies, and gave us great recommendations. The hotel is set in a great location, walking distance to the harbor, the pier and State St. funk zone, bars and restaurants. The hotel was quaint, was very nicely decorated and was very clean. Our room was a large second story room with a canopy king and a balcony with chaise lounges and table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were of good quality. The amenities were great, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker and they even provided us with a monogrammed water bottle to take with us. In the lobby they have a coffee machine that provides espresso’s and different types of lattes. The free breakfast provided is very good, with homemade pancakes, oatmeal/granola/ yogurt and a egg scrambles plus a few more things. All in all I highly recommend a staying at the Eagle Inn, we will definitely be staying in this little gem on our next trip through Santa Barbara. You really can’t beat the price for what you get in a quality establishment with genuine staff that provide excellent service. I would like to send an extra special thank you to Peter for his exceptional customer service.

Comment: A true gem run by angels. I hosted my wedding guests here and it was a huge success. They were sooo kind and accommodating and we all had the most amazing memorable time! We all fell in love with Edgar the crow and one of the staff members even prepared and served a delicious cake one night that was over the top delightful. The breakfast included is a proper sit down experience and was such a great way to socialize with the group. The courtyards and fire pits were also perfect places to gather and hang out. I think almost everyone had a jacuzzi tub in their room and we all felt so pampered and taken care of. An absolute dream come true. Highly recommended for group travel/wedding accommodation. The team clearly gets a lot of pride and joy providing an amazing experience for their guests and it was an honor to share such a meaningful event at such a special hotel!

Comment: We stayed for two nights in the Santa Catalina Casita and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly and made great suggestions for restaurants and activities to enjoy. They also accommodated our last minute request to add a romance package to our stay which was set up in our room upon arrival. Our casita was spacious and super clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and towels and amenities were plentiful. The location is perfect for an easy walk to State street and the pier. We will be back!

Comment: Our train was extremely late getting to Santa Barbara but the staff was very accommodating for our after hours arrival. Our 2nd story queen bedroom with a balcony was especially comfy and included a mini fridge, microwave and fireplace which we used. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and included a choice of 4 entrees, fresh fruit, juices and coffee. We were able to walk to the wharf, beach and down State Street where we found numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely return next time were in the area!

Comment: A lovely vintage hotel. Very comfortable. The staff engaging and very helpful with their recommendations. The location was very convenient to just about everything we were interested in like top-rated restaurants (the Lark is very close and an excellent choice). Also antique shopping like The Blue Door and others found along downtown State Street. Or whatever it is you are interested in, you will likely find it close by. One final note. After 3 pm they serve homemade cookies and there is fresh made coffee available in the lobby. Breakfast was outstanding in a very cozy breakfast room.

Comment: NICE STAY ! This boutique hotel has been our first choice for our recent stays in Santa Barbara. After almost a week on vacation in Cambria to celebrate my wifes birthday we decided to pull the pin a day early so we could check out at our leisure on Tuesday rather than 10am on Wednesday. My wife booked us a casita here for Tuesday night...in fact we scored the same one ( San Clemente ) as our first visit here 4 years ago. After stopping at the Tesla Supercharging Station in Goleta along the way we made it here at around 5.15pm... check-in is 4pm. We even managed to get the last parking spot on their private lot....it can get crowded. When we checked in at the reception desk a guy named Peter took good care of us. And then we headed back to our car and unloaded our luggage. NOT SO BAD ! Luckily for us the San Clemente Casita is tucked away on the ground level....no steep stairs to deal with. This casita has a nice long layout....huge bedroom with king size bed, beautiful spa bath in the bedroom, double sided gas fireplace ( living room & bedroom ), 2 shower heads ( regular and rain ) in the huge shower cubicle, nice little private courtyard off the small living room with table & chairs. After a quick freshen up we headed off to grab some take-out dinner at Buena Onda Empanadas in East Hayley St..about a 10 minute drive. BEST EMPANADAS ! We bought about a half doz home at 7pm and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the little table in our courtyard. Of course I had a nice beer too....brought my own as usual. I love to take showers in the evening ( as well as first thing in the morning ) so a quick one after dinner freshened me up. We relaxed for a while watching the flatscreen TV over the fireplace in the living room. The luxurious king size bed and fluffy pillows allowed for a restful nights sleep. In the morning we took showers and headed out to breakfast at one off our fav brekkie spots....Dune Coffee Roasters in Anacapa Street. Their excellent house roasted coffee is among the best around and the croissants they sell taste heavenly. If you are a dine-in type person the hotel does offer a complimentary breakfast in their dining room or in your room. They even have a new automatic espresso vending machine to replace the one that was not working on our last visit. This is a good safe spot to stay....close to the beach and plenty of good eateries. CHECK IT OUT !

Comment: A PLEASANT STAY ! My wife and I hit the road at 1pm on Thursday bound for Santa Barbara. We had booked 3 nights here a few months ago to enjoy a long weekend getaway to celebrate my wifes birthday. In fact we stayed here ( overnight ) once before in Sept, 2020 and it was pretty good. We chose a Casita ( much bigger than a room ) then and a Casita this trip. After a long traffic jammed 3 hour drive we finally arrived here about 4pm. We headed straight to the reception desk after parking our wheels on their private parking lot ( random parking / no pre-paid reserved spots ). WOW ! The same desk clerk as our previous visit....the very helpful Ryan was sitting there to greet us. This trip we didnt bother to bring our eBikes so there was no need to ask Ryan to secure them in their store room overnight ( for safety ). The hotel does offer free cruiser bikes for guests. My wife nailed an upstairs Casita this time...Santa Rosa. A simple fresh cooked breakfast in the hotel dining room is included in the room / casita rates....Ryan gave us 3 coupons for 3 mornings in case we needed them. PROBABLY NOT ! We planned to have breakfast early on Friday at one of our fav places....Jeannines Restaurant & Bakery in Montecito. With no pre-paid reserved parking spots it can become a bit of a turkey shoot to nail a spot on their private lot. If you dont get one then its street parking in a very narrow congested street. WE GOT LUCKY ! So we managed to snag one of the only 3 undercover parking spots ( within view of our upstairs casita ) each with destination charging outlets. Our Casita was quite large though not as well organized as the one we had a couple of years ago....very old small flatscreen TV on the wall and a deafening noisy exhaust fan in the bathroom that came on with the only light. The low to the floor toilet was built for very young children....who needs their knees up around their ears while sitting on the loo. A huge spa bath like last time but this one had only half the jets working. A nice vase full of red roses and a greeting card was a thoughtful touch appreciated by my wife. The king size bed was comfortable enough.....I didnt think much of the shower....2 shower heads and only one worked. We had a small separate kitchen room with a quiet working bar fridge, a small microwave, a Keurig coffee machine and a sink. Certain aspects of this Casita need to be upgraded. Because we were worried about losing our treasured parking spot we took Lyfts to a couple of dinner spots....Buena Onda Empanadas nearby and Himalayan Kitchen in State St. TOP DINNER SPOTS ! The air con in our Casita worked well and the gas fireplace was a warming treasure. We had a big day planned on Saturday....renting eBikes for a long bike ride, lunch, dinner etc so we took a punt on breakfast in the hotel dining room. It is fresh prepared and cooked while you wait but dont expect anything more than simple....quiches, small bowl of fruit, orange juice. There is something they call an espresso machine but when I attempted to use it I was told by Skye the desk clerk it was out of order for the moment. Apparently it is very temperamental and Skye informed a few minutes later it was functioning again. NOT REALLY ! It did dispense something that looked like black oil and then when I hit the touch screen for cream.....there was a mini cyclone of powdered milk dumped on top. After whacking a couple of sachets of sugar in and tasting it....I dumped it ! Straight after our very basic brekkie we headed over to Dune Coffee Roasters for sensational morning lattes...BEST COFFEE IN SANTA BARBARA ! We also had 2 delicious lunches at Lilac Patisserie ( gluten free ) in State St. So each evening I enjoyed a couple of ice cold craft beers on our small patio overlooking the parking lot before we headed out to dinner. The excellent Bettina ( wood-fired pizza ) in Montecito is a dining must ! We are not big fans of corporate hotels so even with the small negatives this place is quite satisfactory. GOOD ENOUGH !

To be able to walk down and have a prepared breakfast, along with a splendid coffee/espresso machine was truly a treat. Fresh cookies in the afternoon were yummy!! The location of The Eagle Inn was priceless. You can walk everywhere, from downtown Santa Barbara to the gorgeous ocean and wharf. The Eagle Inn is centrally located in a beautiful, safe and clean area. We stayed our first three nights in an upstairs room with a balcony, which was delightful. Because we opted to stay an additional night at the last minute, we moved to a lower level room which was also absolutely beautiful, but was unfortunately very noisy due to being able to hear everything from the room above. Did not make for a good nights sleep. If you stay at The Eagle Inn, I would definitely recommend an upstairs room or casita.

Comment: Beautiful inn in a quiet neighborhood 2 blocks from the ocean and within walking distance to downtown. We had a pleasant stay in one of the rooms of the main building. We appreciated the receptionist (Ryan I think) being willing to change our room from downstairs to upstairs. In the morning we had hot and freshly made breakfast (huevos rancheros) on the patio. Our upstairs room had a nice view of the mountains. If you want more style and privacy, the casitas are just wonderful which we stayed in another time. This is an inn to return to.

The Santa Maria was an exceptional room that was so different from other hotel and motel rooms. We enjoyed the quiet room and breakfast and the staff was very helpful.

Comment: We had an excellent stay here. We came later in the evening and Peter was very helpful in welcoming our stay and giving us clear directions on checking in. Parking was already full in their lot by the time we got there, but there was parking right up front. (Make sure you read the parking limitations carefully). We had a large 2 bed downstairs next to the lobby. It was very spacious and comfortableWith many sitting areas in there. I love that there are plenty of windows for sunlight to come in. There was also a microwave and refrigerator in the room.Breakfast the next morning was in a room with someone taking our orders. Each breakfast was individually prepared and was delicious. I loved the atmosphere in the dining room.There is also a sophisticated coffee/hot chocolate machine with coffee roasted from Beacon coffee, Ventura. There is also a purified water machine outside that can be used at all times.Bike rentals were free and included a basket and locks. They also had helmets if you need it. Katie was very helpful in helping us set up the bikes. There are plenty of bike paths in Santa Barbara. You can also bike to the zoo.I will definitely come back again.

Comment: Great place to stay in SB! Walking distance to the funk zone and state street. Even with the rain we had we still were okay walking. Love that they had a designated parking lot and breakfast included and loved the coffee/tea station in the lobby. Room was nice and cozy. Staff was exceptionally friendly- so grateful to the woman at the morning desk who allowed us to borrow her umbrella. Would definitely stay here again!

Comment: The location is perfect, with easy walking access to the beach, marina, restaurants and bars. There is also plenty of parking.The hotel is a small boutique hotel. The staff are very friendly and personable - very happy to provide local recommendations. There are small seating areas and a patio to sit back, relax and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfast is very nice, the menu changes daily and seating is either inside or outside on the patio.The rooms are nicely furnished, very clean and serviced daily.We travel a lot, both business and pleasure, usually in the larger chain hotels, however this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. It has a very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. This is definitely our go to hotel when visiting Santa Barbara and highly recommended.

Comment: Absolutely wonderful !! We stayed in the San Clemente Casita which is located across the parking area from the main Inn (30 second walk at best). The Casita was large and comfortable, very quiet and cozy. The casita had a mini frig, microwave and coffee machine. We had a large jacuzzi in the room, but we didnt use it. We were celebrating our anniversary/birthday, so the staff prepared a pair of love swans made from twisted towels (they actually look like swans) and spread rose petals around the room. Very romantic !!The breakfast was fresh and delicious, each day the egg plate was slightly different. The breakfast was served in the eating area that also had a outdoor patio area. Or you can have the breakfast delivered to you room/casita.They had a coffee machine in the lobby that you could make anything from regular coffee to double macchiatos. In the afternoons, they also had fresh baked cookies in the lobby.The location was great, very quiet neighborhood, 2 short blocks from the waterfront and a few blocks to State St where all the tourist are. The Inn is far enough away from the noisy parts of the tourist areas, but within a short walking distance. Another plus was that parking was free !!All the staff (from the front desk, the kitchen staff and the cleaning staff) were awesome and very attentive to our needs and questions.We would absolutely stay at the Eagle Inn again. If we could give 6 stars, we would !!!

Our cottage suite was comfortable, quiet and private with a cozy double-sided gas fireplace, whirlpool tub, thoughtful amenities and tasteful décor throughout.The included hot breakfasts were ample and delicious and set us up well for our walking explorations to nearby sites such as the beautiful harbor and marina, eclectic shops and restaurants up and down State street and our visit to the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, a little over a mile’s walk each way, there and back.On-site parking was easy and convenient.The Eagle Inn management and staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful.We very much look forward to our next stay at the Eagle Inn in the future. Comment: We had the most wonderful time staying at the Eagle Inn in the San Nicolas casita. My husband and I were here for the second half of our honeymoon after spending a few days in LA. The manager, Paul, reached out prior to our arrival and did a great job of making sure we had all of the information we needed. Check-in and check-out were very easy, and each member of the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The property itself is so cute, and my favorite feature of the casita was the private balcony. Breakfast is served daily and can be brought to the room or enjoyed in their dining room, which also has a very cute patio. The breakfast selections and fresh baked cookies (and sometimes lemon bars) were all delicious. Our room had a fireplace and whirlpool tub, which evoked exactly the type of romantic atmosphere we were seeking. The location is great, walkable to the beach and the Funk Zone. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Santa Barbara.

Comment: I stayed here for 3 nights and it was overall good. I’ll start with the bad: It can be very loud with thin walls and creeky floors. I stayed on the first floor and I could hear people in the room above me walking around and talking at all hours of the night, waking me up multiple times even while using a noise machine. The weekend breakfast was more crowded and the service was not good, with only one person serving who was clearly overwhelmed, forgetting multiple things we requested and bringing our food out at different times, whereas during the week it was all together and much better organized.The good: comfortable bed, awesome shower, great location, beautiful building, different breakfast options (with same daily decent vegan option) and made to order, free bikes to use for the path along the beach (highly recommend going around sunset!)

You can tell it used to be an apartment building as every room comes with a kitchen, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, etc.The service is top-notch and the breakfast is made to order and includes three choices and a little fruit cup, coffee, tea and juice or milk. Comment: Beware of the wanna be cop security guard. First of all, the fact that they need a security guard at night rather than a receptionist may be a sign of the times in Santa Barbara and this hotel... At around 11:00 pm, when we were sleeping, we woke up to the phone ringing in the room. The fact that it woke us from a dead sleep and the phone was across the room, the person hung up before I could answer it. I immediately went back to bed. About 10 minutes later, a person tried entering our room without knocking. It sounded like they were struggling with the handle and lock. I obviously wasnt going to open the door and told the person this room is occupied. The person on the other side of the door yelled at me and said you do not have authorization to be in this room I told him yes I do. He kept yelling and banging on the door telling me to open it. I went over to the phone and called the front desk. It rang several times and the person who finally answered was the same person banging on my door. He yelled at me again telling me that room is supposed to be vacant and I am not authorized to be in the hotel and I better leave. I had to yell back at him to get him to listen and gave him my last name and confirmation number. He continued yelling and arguing but eventually looked up the information I gave him and said oh, they checked you into the wrong room, you were supposed to be in room 213, not 214. Needless to say I did not get a good night sleep or an apology.The next day I asked to speak to the manager but the receptionist (who was very kind) said he wasnt available but would be in tomorrow. I asked her who the person was that was working last night and she said it was a security guard.I definitely do not recommend this hotel and will never return.

The staff members were amazing and accommodating. 2nd: the room was great we stayed in the Santa Rosa casita for our engagement trip! My hubby proposed to be at the end of Stefan’s wharf/pier which is walking distance by the way -very close. But more about the room there’s AC for summer and if it were winter there was a fireplace. There was HUGE in room tub and my huge I mean my 6ft4 boyfriend and I both fit. The shower is also double shower head very romantic. Had wine glasses and champagne glasses to use if you pick up a local bottle of wine. And a lovely balcony to sit and get some fresh air. The location- we didn’t have to drive anywhere! From the moment we walked into our room, Camila and the housekeeping team made us feel special to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and my birthday. They dont just know the meaning they take it to an entirely new level. While so many other businesses are using the Covid excuse to explain their lack of service, the Eagle Inn does not. The complimentary breakfast is not a bunch of stale pastries but a full blown made to order breakfast. We have stayed here many times over the past two decades and its only gotten better. From the warm cookies at check in to the complimentary water bottles, this place embodies the true spirit of service. Thank you to everyone at EI. We will return for sure!

Comment: Perfectly located near beach & downtown, the room (Superior King) was quite large and absolutely fantastic. Faced the small side street and was extremely quiet, well appointed, super comfortable. The free breakfast, which can be eaten down in the dining room or served in your room, is plentiful and you have multiple choices. Also there’s an espresso machine and fresh cookies available 24/7 in the lobby along with filtered water. And the staff are super friendly!! We dealt with Ryan, Katie, and I wish we had caught the names of the other two because everyone was as very nice. I’d highly recommend this property and we look forward to returning!!!

I put my suitcases in the car and returned to my room to finish getting ready to leave (make up etc) only to find the cleaner in my room and the beds stripped with piles of bedding on the floor. In addition, the cleaners had a radio on in the corridor playing music. I expected better from this expensive hotel. The serene setting of the property was the perfect last travel day/night for us before heading home. We snatched a couple homemade cookies from the lobby before heading to our very well maintained and comfortable room. Comment: We celebrated our 40th anniversary second honeymoon at the Eagle Inn B&B. We arrived 2 hours early and Peter accommodated us with an available room with a free upgrade. We didnt expect this and were just going to ask if we could leave our luggage until check in since we traveled via train. This early check-in and room upgrade was a great anniversary gift! Our entire 3 night stay was an amazing experience with a great location just 3 blocks from the ocean and train station. Walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. The accommodations are just lovely! Rooms are immaculate with excellent daily housekeeping services and all the amenities with extra special elegant touches. The front desk staff (Katie & Peter) go above & beyond ensure guests needs are met with excellent service. The daily included breakfast was delicious (menu choices) and the option to have it deliver to our room was a real treat! The availability of bicycles made our trip amazing since we traveled from So. Cal. via Amtrak. The use of the bicycles allowed us to explore all the sights on the ocean, downtown SB, and even the SB Mission 3 miles North. We felt like young kids exploring this beautiful town! The outside patio with fire pits was a lovely way to unwind from the day with a spirit or a cup of freshly ground and brewed coffee from the specialty coffee/expesso/Latte maker. They even offered freshly baked cookies every afternoon! We were so well treated and felt so pampered that this will be our only choice to stay at on future vacations in SB. We are going to tell all of our family and friends about this incredible B&B. Thank you Eagle Inn staff for making our 40th anniversary memorable and amazing!!

Comment: Loved our stay! We arrived via Amtrak and walked to the inn. Were within easy walking distance of harbor/beach and State Street with tons of stores and restaurants. Gorgeous old building with charming Spanish architecture. Experienced a little noise from the side street and room above but we brought a white noise machine and it didn’t bother us. Our room was 105, at the end of the hall on the first floor (see photos.) Not a lot of natural light but nice and bright with all the light fixtures turned on. We didn’t end up using the whirlpool or fireplace. Breakfast was wonderful with alternating choices each day and the option to customize it a bit. All staff was attentive and very friendly. Great non-chain hotel experience - more like a quaint Bed and Breakfast which we prefer.

Comment: It is said, you get what to pay for and this is an incredible example! We stayed in one of their well-designed and comfortable casitas - the San Nicolas room. From the very comfortable bed, to the incredible in-room hot tub, coffee/tea service, patio, gas fireplace and a walk-in glass surround shower with dual shower heads this was one of the finest stays weve enjoyed! Their included breakfast had several fine selections, including a vegan/vegetarian option. Great table service with outdoor patio as well as indoor seating available. It wont be our last! We loved SB and loved everything about the Eagle Inn as well.The excellent and friendly service started before we arrived with great communication on a regular basis. On arrival, very late at night, we were greeted with a very happy sight - a warm welcoming lobby with someone wearing the same warm welcoming smile sitting at the desk. It was just what we needed after a long day of train travel.Our room was the icing on the cake. Again, the warm, welcoming, friendly theme continued here. It just felt like home from the moment we stepped through the door.Breakfast was very good, with a short choice of items, each hand-prepared and delivered to our table with a smile.The location couldnt have been better. Tucked away but only a few minutes stroll to the seafront or to the bustling lower State Street. We got the chance to take two of their great cruiser bikes out for a spin on our first evening. Sadly, due to the rain, we didnt get another chance to use them but our plan had been, and will be when we return, to use the bikes extensively to explore this wonderful town and its sweeping, beautiful, waterfront.

The Inn is beautifully set and has many areas to sit outside or within the Inn. The breakfast were varied everyday and were a full meal of crepes, Mexican Eggs, fruit and scrambled eggs. Served fresh and made to order not warmed up. Rooms are spacious and have nice appointments and plenty of seating area. Location is ideal within walking distance of the shore, downtown Santa Barbara and other attractions. You can leave your car parked and not have to look for parking.

Comment: This is the second time we have stayed here. We park our car easily on site and walk everywhere! The front desk staff is very responsive and helpful. They text too which makes it really easy to communicate. The room we stayed in was San Nicolas. I enjoyed the big jet tub and fireplace. It’s quiet and romantic, a perfect couple’s weekend getaway. They have a fancy coffee machine in the breakfast area which I enjoyed daily. They also had a cold water dispenser to refill our water bottles. We walked to the wharf, had breakfast overlooking the beach, walked state street filled with restaurants, and ended our weekend with the local art walk on Sunday and brought home some beautiful paintings and gifts for the kids!

He was super attentive and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We asked for a fan....he gave us his own! The Eagle Inn leaves fresh baked cookies and baskets of candy in the foyer - so fun! Its great to be able to satisfy your sweet craving on your way back to your room! The complimentary breakfast is also fantastic - a true bed and breakfast perk! The Inn is clean and spacious. We loved our rooms! It was fairly quiet - I expected more noise, but it was great and I slept so good! The beds are comfy, the little patios are so nice, and the location is stellar! We were greeted by a friendly front desk person and got checked into our room. We got the Santa Catalina room, beautiful interior. They even added fresh roses inside.Unfortunately; our bathroom/tub was already occupied with ants (see attached pictures). We mentioned this to the front desk, they cleaned it up. But shortly after, the ants came back. We were unable to leave anything in the bathroom nor we were able to use the nice jacuzzi tub with all the ants crawling around.During check out; the staff asked how are stay was. I gave them the honest truth and how we were unable to use half the room for anything because of the ants. The staff turned around to the manager (Paul) and asked if there was anything they could do to help remedy the issue. Without even taking a look at us; the person coldly said we cleaned it up; thats all that we can do. He did not even look at us in the eye to apologize or anything.We will definitely NOT come back to this place. Paying +$800 for 2 nights with ants was not part of the package. Friendly staff; but with a manager like that; I would recommend to stay elsewhere.

Peter assisted us when we checked in and he was Fantastic! He was warm, helpful and did everything to make sure our stay was great. Comment: Felt like a home away from home. I can’t complain about any part of our stay at The Eagle Inn. Stayed Monday to Friday with the family and our experience was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable and no complaints about the comfort of the bed. Usually I tend to bring extra sheets and towels while staying at hotels but did not feel the need here. The location was in a great area (hardly used our vehicle during our stay visiting the beach, local shops, local restaurants, the warf and state street). We took advantage of the delicious breakfast every morning and the yummy coffee set out. Rented a couple bikes from the hotel and one of the staff offered to take a picture of us three (we rented a kids bike at a rental store for our 6 year old) in front of the hotel which was pretty awesome of him. Above all we had the pleasure of meeting different staff members during our stay all of whom were friendly, informative of the area and down to earth. I think without that positive energy from them, our stay could have been different. Customer service is extremely important and makes a world of a difference especially if at a hotel your stay is more than a night. Thank you Eagle Inn team!

The only issue we had is there are no regular sized drawers to put your clothes in. Beautiful furniture but not for clothes. We just left our bags on floor and lived out of it that way. I did make the suggestion to the manager and he mentioned he had heard that before. So now is a good time to do it if folks have mentioned it:). Staff was excellent and super nice. He helped us get the free bike rentals they offer (7 speed cruisers), made sure to inform us of all the hotels amenities. He also recommended a spot to take in the sunset. The location is great also! Really close to the beach and a great restaurant district (go to Santo Mezcal!!) The parking they offer was also a big plus - a rarity in our trip down the CA coast.The breakfast staff was also very helpful in getting us a to-go breakfast when we had to leave early one morning to catch a charter to the Channel Islands. Both the to-go breakfast and sit-down breakfasts we had were awesome.The rooms do feel a bit dated BUT they get the most important things right. The beds are comfortable, the sheets and pillows were high quality and the A/C was functional and quiet.All this for what seemed a reasonable price. We would definitely stay again if in Santa Barbara.

We booked our reservation directly with the Inn and found Paul to be very friendly and helpful in helping us decide which room and location we wanted. We requested early check-in (about an hour early) and were contacted by Peter on arrival day to say they were able to expedite room cleaning so we could check in early. Upon arrival Peter greeted us, checked us in quickly and easily and pointed to the just baked chocolate chip cookies. Our room was very clean, comfortable, had adequate space for our needs and was very quiet. Peter was on duty each day, answered all our questions, made some excellent suggestions for dining spots and was a pleasure to speak with. And they have rotating breakfast menu. It made me excited to go get breakfast wondering whats the menu for that day. They have a cool espresso machine that can make mocha, latte, espresso, etc. They also have a variety of tea with a hot and cold water dispenser. They have servers that will take your order and serve your food.For the room, its very spacious with an electric fireplace, jetted bathtub, a dining table with chairs, a nice bathroom, and a small kitchen. We like the patio. We like the comfortable bed and pillows. Sheets are soft. I am usually very picky about these.As for the bathroom, at the beginning, there was strange musty smell after we took showers. For me, I sneezed everytime I was done taking a shower. Then, my husband opened the window in the bathroom every day. It got better. Thats the only downside.Overall, we recommend The Eagle Inn. We will stay here again when we come back to Santa Barbara.

They had a promotion offers for long stay. Better than Military or State discount. After 6 hrs. long drive we were ready to Retire for the night & came to find-out the fridge, fireplace, TV & hot tub were not working or not functioning right. We were offered to move to another place but we decided to stay in Santa Catalina for it was too much for us. Comment: We stayed here with family for our wedding weekend and this place was amazing! The staff was so accommodating and they are very welcoming! They even sent us a special treat the night of our wedding. Each room has a different flare, clean and cozy! The location is also perfect; making it easy to walk to town and the beach. They also have bikes you can rent for no charge, which is a great way to see Santa Barbara. We will definitely be staying here again; was a great weekend!
