Comment: Goodness me! I had been craving apple fritters for a while and then my Pops surprised me with Rollo’s - which I had never heard of. In short, this was and is the best app frit of my bum life. I don’t want to exaggerate but it really was everything I was hoping for. Other places sometimes use too much glaze that overpowers the taste of the fried and apple goodness, but not these. Simply flawless execution, folks. New fav unlocked! 🤟

Comment: This place is awesome. Delicious soft and poofy donuts (just devoured my first glazed .. still have an old fashioned and fritter waiting to be eaten). Workers are super friendly. Most surprising tho is that they still have a reasonable selection deep into their opening hours. I stopped by 1030 on Thanksgiving day and they still had around 20+ different types of donuts available in varying quantities. Place must look like donut planet if you swing by early in the AMs.

Comment: I feel the donuts have got better here recently! Very moist and quality toppings. The donut holes aren’t dry which is rare. Great selection of standard cake and raised plus delicacy variety’s. They also serve sandwiches which I have not tried. Donuts are 2.00 as of August 2023.

Comment: Quite so often, you completely stumble upon a place, thinking it will do the job for a quick bite. Came across Rollos Donuts while on a walk and ABSOLUTELY glad I stopped for coffee and donuts. Got a maple glazed donut, and the lovely lady added another one for free. Its one of the best donuts Ive had in a long, long time. Soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness, and went superbly with the hot cuppa.Apparently, this place is a local institution since 1985, and they sell out way before midday. Having tasted them now, I have no doubt why. As I was about to head out, the lovely lady gave me a bag full of donuts and donut balls on the house!

Comment: Rollo’s is a San José institution. Wonderful, family owned shop making the most scrumptious donuts in the city. On the corner of Jackson and North 13th St. they occupy a cute corner building lined with plants. Sit inside or walk across the street to the park. Yum!

Comment: I’ve been here several times now since moving to San Jose, though it’s mostly because it’s just a few blocks away and therefore the closest donut shop.The donuts are solid! Tasty but nothing special. The reasons for only 3 stars:-they’re a bit on the pricey side. I pay more here than anything I’ve ever had to before-the coffee is mediocre. Fine if you don’t have other options but otherwise meh-they always run out very early. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see them doing well, but they regularly run out many hours before closing. I visited just now at 9 AM and they’re already completely out of donuts with only a few croissants left. That can’t be good business to be out so early all the time and it always discourages me from wanting to visit at allI would like to point out that they are very kind people and so I wish them the best

Comment: This place has been around since I was a young child . However now as i am older I find myself here . It’s on the corner across the park . Very nice friendly people . Family owned place . Plenty of parking .They have a few great options to choose from . I have had many things here . Today I had the bagel, it was a home made bagel ! Pretty huge in size . I’ll be back for sure for another one soon.

This was by far the best breakfast shop we found in our two years living here. Sad we didn’t get to enjoy more of it. The donuts are a MUST! The ladies are so sweet. Comment: Ive been very spoiled to grow up around here, because Rollos has been my familys go-to donut place for decades now. Ive tried donuts all over, but Rollos HAS THEM BEAT and I get very snobby about it, lol. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Fresh, delicious, classic donuts. Just sweet enough, just enough sprinkles/chocolate/nuts--whatever your flavor is. They also have pastries like apple, glazed twists, jelly donuts and long johns. Their glazed and chocolate are thick and puffy, and everything goes great with coffee. Make sure to go first thing in the morning (we try and go right when they open or at the latest 6:30am) if you go after 7:30 or 8am, they may be sold out, especially on the weekend.

Comment: I had live maggots crawling around in 2 ham and cheese croissants that I bought. Went back in for a refund. The first lady I talked to kind of questioned me for asking for a refund but the other lady ran from the back grabbed the bag from me as I was showing the maggots crawling around inside the croissants and told her give me my money back. Im pretty sure she knew about the maggots but they still sold them to people. I asked them to take the rest of the croissants out of the case but they wouldn’t. I’m not going back. If you go, check your food.

Comment: Best donut shop in San Jose that doesnt rhyme with Crispy Ream.Nice fluffy donuts and their iced coffee is pretty good too. The interior is laid out nicely despite the small size. Located on the corner of 13th street, theres plenty of parking across the street at the park.I just have one very small gripe: their hours -- they close early in the afternoon but on the bright side, they do open before sunrise!

Comment: This is a great store selling a selection of savory sandwiches (choice of about 4) and a great choice of donuts and other pastries, hot drinks etc. The staff are very friendly and there is space to sit in and eat. Food was great, very clean.

Comment: My favorite donut spot in San Jose by far. This is a cute little joint on the corner of a quiet part in North San Jose. These babies are always fresh and delicious reliably consistent. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere is so warm and homey you wont even feel like you left the house for breakfast, quick coffee, pastry, Bagel breakfast sandwich or a personal favorite the donut holes.

Comment: Good variety of doughnuts offered. They do tend to run out of the speciality doughnuts, early on some days, so call ahead to inquire if you hearts really bent on the mini birthday cake. They also have breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The breakfast bagel with jalapenos is my go-to, when Im in the mood. They also have Thai Iced Tea, amongst other things. I also just realized they have a cappuccino machine that can make the French Vanilla. Im not a coffee drinker, but there is the exception and they have it.

Comment: I just want to say that I have been going there for so many years and enjoy their donuts. Lately Ive noticed they dont have enough donuts and they always assume you will buy the same thing all the time. As soon as you walk in sometimes they say hi and they make a face when you say no to what they want to prepare. Also they dont mention there is a price difference in ordering a dozen donuts when they run out on small size. I experienced this one morning which they only had big size donuts and I ordered a dozen . Of course price wasnt mentioned and found out a big difference upon paying. I asked to only get half a dozen and apologized for not knowing . The owner made a face and it seemed she never accepted my apology and I didnt feel the same customer service I used to receive. I feel they only care about selling and not about customer service. The owner and her employees act the same way. If they dont hear a yes on to what they offer their face immediately changes.

Comment: Charged me $71 for 5 dozen donuts. It was ridiculous! FIVE dozen. It was clearly labeled, donuts are 10$ a dozen. Decent donuts, but obviously I questioned it and I saw two things, 1 the lady just chose 71$ as the price miraculously. She didnt count ANYTHING, and didnt care to give me a reason why I was being charged so much. 2. I realized I did see the lady throwing random donuts in.. I read the good reviews here on Google Maps, so I wanted to try this place out, but I should have read all of them. I see now that this too has happened to someone in the past. Id rather not have to deal with something like that at 5 in the morning.
