Comment: I had to burn a couple of hours in Berkeley waiting for family to finish some commitment, and I wanted to find a coffee shop to do some work.This place was just amazing!1. Beautiful 100 year old building. Looks like a church but apparently gas stations at that time looked majestic also. City Records are lost.2. Owners work here and are so hospitable, friendly and pleasant to everyone.3. Cool interior - from the furniture to the extended seating areas.4. Facilities -good free wifi!Electrical outlets! Big deal for me because the first two places actually had blocking plates preventing customers from plugging in.Restrooms - free and clean.5. Coffee and food - great! Good Americano.

However the service was mediocre at best, I ordered what I wanted and was told that they would not use the single origin espresso I ordered in a latte because the barista didnt think it would taste good in milk, and they would only serve that espresso straight. Very odd. The espresso that they did use was unremarkable, and definitely not the flavor profile I said I wanted. Service really brought down the overall experience of the place.

Comment: Id been curious about this place for years, super cute looking. The Orange Blossom Latte was so delicious and smooth and I was able to order it dairy free (with oat milk- best brand of oat milk too) which was perfect for my gut. The atmosphere is perfect for a date, catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or just sitting with a drink. Very pleasant and friendly staff and they were fast too. Definitely will want to come back.

It almost looked as if they were bullying an employee which was upsetting to witness. I do not recommend this un-ethical cafe to others.

The orange blossom latte was very delicious and unique. The apple turnover was also very tasty and flaky. I wish I had taken photos, but I got too excited and ate/drank everything before I thought about it. I have no complaints!

Comment: *Should be noted that I am a Southern Californian and our coffee culture is a solid year behind Norcal even at our best spots.*When I think specialty coffee, shops like MY Coffee, nestled in a little walkable area near UC Berkeley, with a steady flow of locals and tourists are exactly what I have in mind.The drinks: All your classics are here including a phenomenal pour over and espresso offerings. A real kicker here is the unique creations like espresso in coca cola topped with on site grown mint (crazy right?).Most importantly, the beans: This shop clearly has no qualms trying new and outside the box things and their coffee bean selection continues to reflect that. I had a cherry blossom pour over that was much more akin to an earthy tea than any coffee I tasted, and if that turns you off, their more conventional options are still amazing. A coffee guru once said, the most impressive beans with the highest value are those that veer completely out of coffee tastes and into something else, through origin and drying process alone. If youre the coffee adventurer who wants to try things you wont forget, visit this store. My biggest regret is not buying a bag of beans right then and there, they offer online purchases but their super speciality coffee gets quite pricey with shipping!If I could give 10 stars I would, thank you for the experience to the wonderful owner and staff!

The outside seating is so so cute, and there’s an adorable older Asian lady who takes your order and remembers ur name. You can tell she was a baddie when she was younger bc her personality is so sparkly and cute and the perfect amount of playfulness/sassiness. I think she’s the owner but I want her to be my auntie/grandma.

This place gets little crowded with a long queue so finding a place to sit can be difficult sometimes. Comment: I was a regular at my coffee roastery for the last 4 months. The owner is lovely and all of the staff is helpful. The coffee is good and authentic. The best thing about this place is the outdoor, it is a very cosy and peaceful terrasse that is perfect to just relax, hang with friends, read a book, get some work done, you name it. I would recommend the cappuccino if you like strong coffee or else, the orange blossom latte if you like more flavorful drinks where the coffee taste is not dominant. They do have milk alternatives bur it’s extra. The drinks are quite pricy, you mostly pay for the quality of the drinks but also for the atmosphere and the location. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place ! One of the best places in Berkeley to regularly get coffee.

Comment: We just moved to south berkeley but are already missing this place. My most favorite coffee shop in the country! Great service (plus doggie treats!), very outstanding coffee (cold brew, latte and waffles were my go to), very consistent, and a great place to spend an afternoon outside studying. Christine and Peter are so caring and talented and it really comes through to the customer. Will miss being a regular here. :(

I got mine with oat milk which brought the price of it to a whopping $7. not sure if its worth that price honestly, Id recommend just getting a regular latte or flat white. Comment: I’ve spent the last 2-3 years walking by this place and never coming in. One morning, on my day off from work I decided to come by for coffee and do some homework. They finally have indoor seating for vaccinated individuals. I’m one to spend a few hours at a coffee shop doing homework or writing in my journal.Their coffee is very good, simple and no frills which I love. I had their pumpkin latte the first time and it was perfect for me, hints of pumpkin but not overly sweet. Their waffle and almond croissant are quite yummy as well! I’m making my way through their pastry menu but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.The owner (or who I assume is the owner) is this very sweet woman who definitely knows her regulars. (At first I thought she was Korean but I heard her speaking Mandarin today so oops!) I enjoyed observing those interactions and made the place even more charming then it already is with its storybook aesthetics. I hope I become “regulars” status soon lol.If you want a place to enjoy some good coffee on a Sunday (or any day) morning, I recommend a try here at least once. So worth it and you get to see cute dogs if you stay long enough!Tips: the bar seating by the window is the best spot, but I might be sitting there in the mornings (sorry not sorry) and there aren’t a plethora of outlets that I noticed so if you’ve come to do work, fair warning.

I tried their seasonal pumpkin spice latte and my friend tried the orange blossom. Both of them are yummy, but they are a bit over sweet than our taste, maybe we should just order regular latte or cappuccino. I just suggest if the service can be a little bit more patient. Which I felt the hostess was a little rush me to order.

Comment: Truly some of the best coffee in the bay (and I used to work for Philz, so thats saying something). They have the best espresso and the owner is very knowledgeable about bean choices and roasting processes to get the best flavor. I get the cappuccino every time, and they foam the milk perfectly and have the perfect ratio of milk to coffee. Youd be surprised how many places cannot get their ratios right. They also have pretty good pastries, including their homemade croissants. Please support local and come here! You wont regret it.

The pour over Geisha coffee from Panama was the best Ive had in my life. There is a free pour over with every bag of beans, so you can compare how your brew tastes against their masterful brew! There are 3 seated areas: outdoor front area with small mosaic tables and chairs. An indoor heated area with 2 sides of high bar window seating. And another outdoor covered patio with larger tables.
