Comment: This is the most wrestling cafe in this part of Noe Valley. They have really good hours where you can go there even into the evening for a bite to eat even if you didnt want coffee so late in the day. But their coffee game is strong too. I order sandwiches and sweets as well when Im here. Sometimes its a little bit packed and its hard to find a seat, but usually you can and they have seeding outside too.

Comment: I bought a bag of beans here and asked the barista which one is a medium roast. She pointed me to the Marthas Blend, so I asked for it ground coarse for my French press. It ended up being a fairly dark roast with a lot of bitter/burnt flavors and she ground it way too fine for the French press. Its basically undrinkable, even after sugar and milk. $17 wasted.

I used to go to the one on Cortland when I lived in Bernal Heights (mid 2010s), but now frequent this one on Church when I dog sit for my friend in Upper Noe (several years now). The ladies working there are so lovely and friendly and its always wonderful to stop by there first thing in the morning. The Cortland location also had a similar friendly vibe, so its nice that it wasnt a fluke and i get the same experience here.

Comment: I’m so torn about this place. But after $hitting for a month and losing 5 lbs the first time I thought it was a fluke. I have a severe milk intolerance that most workers treat as an inconvenient preference. I had no idea why I was so I’ll the first time, but suspected it was Martha’s.After a week of finally feeling better, I returned. What a mistake.Today I kept an eagle eyed watch over the beverage making process. I saw the woman who I believe is the manager/owner pour hot dairy milk into my drink to mix the spices, then pour in espresso followed by the oat milk I ordered. Surely i was mistaken, I thought, surely she wouldn’t pour in dairy before pouring oat milk. I didn’t argue and drank it anyway. Colossal mistake! After just a few hours, I’m now writing this from the toilet.I have a chronic illness — this isn’t just a preference. This could put me in the hospital and leave me permanently disabled (in an extreme case). I’m annoyed that some folks won’t take this serious at Martha’s.This is on top of the same woman verbally berating one of her underlings (my partner was so aghast that she informed me of the incident). It’s a shame that she’s the one running the place.Lesson learned; I have a rapport with one of the baristas. If that barista is working the machine, I’ll get my latte. If not, I’m turning around and leaving.

Comment: The breakfast brioche is very tasty, however Ive tried their cold brew three separate times and unfortunately its very bad (I take it black, without cream nor sugar).The cold brew at this location tastes like it is actually iced drip coffee, which results in a very acidic and bitter brew that is quite unpleasant. If youre in the need for iced coffee, its probably best to add cream even if you prefer it black to remove the astringency.Ive tried the horchata cold brew as well, but the horchata is not creamy enough to properly combat the bitterness of the iced coffee.

I spent every morning for six straight months working out of this locally & family owned Coffee Company. If you are looking for a coffee place to work the full day - make sure to come fully charged (there is only one charging outlet located by the drink refrigerator. If you are looking for a tasty little treat definitely try their Katrina Shake.

Comment: I came in there one morning and it was busy. Nothing wrong with busy but how well they manage to work the line of customers. The staff was friendly and engaging. They have a lot of pastries that at times clog their countertop. Ordering was OK. The counter for the sugar and other stuff was somewhat small. It was off to the side near the order counter which made it easy to have people bump into you. I felt like I had to rush to get everything in my coffee so not to get hit. The mocha I had was not too flavorful. It had a nice design on top. Also it was way too hot to handle even with a sleeve on it. It too a while for my drink to cool down enough to drink it. Overall, an OK place if it is not to crowded.

Comment: A friend and i went here for the first time. The line was confused and the counter intelligence didnt wait on my friend as i went to the toilet, even though we were together. After we received our coffee, it was bitter and there was no soy creamer or turbinado sugar. Inside at tables for two or more, they were replete with one person and his/her laptop. The al fresco seating was sufficient yet encumbered with couples, infant and small children and their strollers. As it was the hottest weekend on record, my friend and i left in dismay, $5 poorer. Smdh.

Comment: Marthas on 24th is my go-to place for coffee in the morning. The drip coffee is good and strong (stronger than Bernies down the street) and they are SUPER-FAST. So when I have somewhere to go and want my coffee on the run, I go there because I know I will be in and out within minutes.There is adequate sitting inside and outside. Never tried the food there, so I cant comment, but since G+ insists, I guess Ill say good since there is no other way to stay neutral.
