Comment: We have been traveling last 10 days and tried different cafes for breakfast. This one is no good for sure. Everything is pre- made. One person make all the breakfast items from pre made eggs - avocado etc. Tasteless and no soul at all. You order thru machines, no human interaction. And pricey for this place for sure. Latte $6+, brewed coffee 4.

Comment: I live in the neighborhood and stopped in for a coffee and to get some work done. The shop was quite cold and windy because the doors and windows were open. After some time working, I got up and closed the door. Two other costumers thanked me for closing the door but moments later the door was propped open again. I politely asked the staff if we could close the door she explained the door must remain open to attract customers “otherwise they won’t know we’re open”.(SMH for so many reasons) I was too cold to continue working so I left.According to my weather app it was 61 degrees out with 15 mph winds.

Comment: We were there on a Monday morning before 9am. Dined in and left just before 10am where the cafe started to get crowded. Gotta love the self order tablet but the staff can get your order if you’re not tech savvy.I had an avo toast + add on smoked salmon and it was yummy! Latte was decent but I’d on another shot the next time.Would def recommend for a no frills breakfast!

The iced coffee was uniquely flavorful and they happily added an excessive amount of milk by request (we like coffee-flavored milk, LOL). Avacado toast and açaí bowl were great as well. Comment: Went here for a quick lunch, and it was lovely. Staff were very friendly and happy to customize my order. The food was ready quickly, and the atmosphere was perfect for enjoying a peaceful lunch. They have plenty of seating by the window to catch some sun, or some tables further in the back for a cozy vibe (perfect if you want to work using screens). They also have an adorable dog, who was more than happy to receive some pets :)

Comment: Very busy when we went. Ordering experience somewhat stressful. You could order with a person or off of a self serve tablet, but felt a little like you were racing to get an order in. Coffee was great, salmon sandwich was good, but had a hard time keeping it together after the first bite. Croissant sandwich looked the best, and since there was little left over after my daughter had it, I think it was the best thing for breakfast.

The ordering was efficient through the pad but lacking in friendliness. The sandwich itself was pretty basic. The sauce was good but a little more than I expected. Wishing they had put a vegetable of some sort on it. Definitely a comfortable and pretty place to take a break if youre exploring the North Beach area.

The café is spacious, provides fee wi-fi, plays chill music, gets lots of natural light, and features plants and art from local vendors. The atmosphere is great but Ive been here three times ordering a latte, an espresso, and a cappuccino - each time the coffee beans have tasted burnt. The pastries are decent - Ive had a coffee cake and cinnamon twist from here - though a bit stale by the end of the day of course. They also compost which is a plus! If the coffee was at least half way decent, I could rate this at a 4, but considering that this is called Fiddle Fig Cafe & Coffee I cant ignore that huge flaw

Comment: Really cute space and attentive staff! We went when it was really busy, so perhaps this was an off day.The coffee drinks were fantastic, but the tea drinks had little to no flavor. I ordered a chai latte and my mom ordered a London Fog. The chai latte was spicy but not flavorful (it was unsweetened which I didnt have a problem with- it just lacked flavor), and the Landon Fog tasted like hot water (even after letting the black tea bags steep for over 5 minutes and adding some sugar). I suspect that they use commercial bagged tea for the tea drinks instead of ordering loose leaf teas in bulk and making the tea bags in-house. I ended up going back and ordering a vanilla latte, and it was great! The flavor was fantastic and the milk texture was perfect.Not trying to hate on a local, independent place. Go for the coffee but not the tea drinks.

Comment: This place is so cute! Stopped here for breakfast and to work for a few hours, and it was pretty easy to find a seat by the wall early in the morning. It got a bit crowded later during the lunch rush, so I recommend stopping by outside of rush hours to grab a seat with an outlet. There were a decent amount of plugs but not enough to serve every table- pretty expected! The music was great, the servers were nice, and the general vibe was sit back, chill, and enjoy the surroundings. It was easy to stay focused on work with no major distractions.For food I ordered the breakfast sandwich and at first glance I was doubtful, as it visually resembled the microwave sandwiches from Starbucks. But wow, looks can really deceive. The sandwich was DELICIOUS and had the perfect texture - I think it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in San Francisco so far. I can’t recommend it enough, in fact I’m worried about not being able to enjoy other breakfast sandwiches during my trip!If you’re a visitor like me, then I recommend taking an early morning cable car out to Lombard street, checking out the crookedness, then walking down Lombard street to this cafe. A nice little combination of touristy stuff and productivity!

Comment: I was happy with my experience here! The staff was really friendly, my green tea and Cubano sandwich were delicious, and they gave us a free coffee cake because we mentioned it was our friend’s birthday :) will definitely go again! The space is roomy, clean, green, and cozy.

Comment: The place it’s deeply charming and the people makes it completely magical! The breakfast sandwiches are delicious, they have a unique dressing, and the sweet puff pastry it’s also delicious! Loved the hazelnut one! We had Chai and Hot Chocolate and both are delicious, but the chocolate was amazing! And the touch of the vanilla sugar, exquisite! Congrats!

Comment: We visited this cafe while walking around San Francisco. It wasnt the best coffee Ive had - a tad on the weak side, but I may have contributed to that. It was early and I asked for a 16 oz, and when I was told it came in 12oz, I sort of numbly asked if it came in a larger size (lol). So, I think they accommodated my ask, possibly by adding milk but not shots. So lesson learned, take coffee in the size its intended to be served! But that said, I appreciate their intention to accommodate my clearly foggy morning self. Otherwise, it was a comfortable and welcoming cafe with very friendly staff and a very talented chalk artist. They had the namesake plants all around, which deserves a notation on its own, because theyre not easy to grow and keep healthy. I didnt sit down to work, but plenty of others were, and it seemed like an appropriately quiet environment to be productive in.

Comment: Note worthy cafe! This cafe is a great addition to the North Beach neighborhood! Literally a short walk from the famous Lombard Street tourist attraction, it’s an easy choice for lunch, coffee or tea, or a nice place to get some work/studying done.The ambiance is super chill, trendy and the plant aesthetics are just the right touch. We saw a lot of people studying and I can see why; not too loud or fussy and perfect menu items to fuel you for a long study or work sesh. It’s also very clean inside, including the bathroom, which is a rare find in San Francisco.Also a big plus for us is the outdoor seating! The weather was great that day and we had our dog with us so it was a great place to have lunch with our dog. Pet friendly always wins for us.Drinks: I ordered a mocha, which was perfect- great flavor and nice alternative milk options available. I saw they have a lot of other options like teas and smoothies, will have to try it next time.For the food:Açaí bowl- simple and delicious, solid item on their menu I would order every time.Chicken sandwich- the bread is amazing and the chicken was chopped up nicely, a great fresh tasting option.Veggie sandwich- this was the highlight of our lunch. Same bread as the chicken sandwich so we loved that already but the veggies were perfectly seasoned and grilled. The flavor is amazing, not too overpowering either. Definitely getting this again!The sandwich portions are big, I was stuffed! Definitely worth the price.If only I lived in the area, I’d probably frequent this place more often, but it’s definitely a note worth cafe to check out more than once!

Comment: They’re giving free croissants for five star reviews. I’d rate them maybe a 3.5 but downgrading because of this practice.I had too long just for an espresso. Many of the tables weren’t clean. I do like the plants and the lighting. Maybe their sandwiches are good but I just had a croissant, which I didn’t realize had a filling that made it sweeter than I prefer, though it was still decent

Comment: Right on Lombard Street, this is my favorite cafe in north beach. The iced coffee is so so good, and the pastries are always top notch. They have the BEST matcha latte, which I get with oat milk - importantly, they dont skimp on the tea! The interiors are very cute with plenty of plants and tables, I imagine this is a popular work space for the wfh folks whod appreciate a free wifi connection. I hear great things about their sandwiches, its next on my list to try!

Comment: A new gem in the neighborhood!This newly opened north beach cafe had a soft opening over the weekend and it was bussin.The spot is right on the corner and looks very welcoming. Inside was bright with a lot of seating for those that want to work remote or just enjoy an amazing latte with a few friends. They had a lot of plants too that definitely passed the vibe.Their menu has a really great spread of coffee, matcha/tea, pastries, sandwiches, and even Acai bowls. They also have a veggie sandwich option too.I had the Reuben and a white chocolate matcha cookie. Both were really good and I cant wait to come back and try their acai bowls!Keep up the good work and I think this will be the next neighborhood go to spot.
