Comment: Hands down best pie in the bayThe fillings and crusts are simply top notch, and I love how they switch up their daily menus. My personal favorite is the nectarine blackberry, but every pie I’ve tried is great. The ones in my photos are the peach cobbler and apricot blackberry, which are also amazingTheir non-fruit pies are great as well. I love the passion fruit lime icebox pie and the key lime pie. Oh, and the hand pies + chimichurri sauce are, as expected, great as wellLastly, the place itself is quite nice, and has a lot of seating room. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Comment: We got the coconut cream pie and cherry pie for our wedding. Mike was great to work with. He whipped up a specialty pie my husband thought he wanted for our tasting based solely on pictures and a description. It was amazing but we decided it was too autumn leaning for our summer wedding. The pies were such a hit at the wedding that they all fully got eaten. I can not recommend them enough for an event or just stopping by for a slice!

Comment: Guys, this is by far the best I have ever had in the US. I have travelled places and tasted, but these pies are simply so far the best I have had. If you are craving for something not too ‘sugary’ yes just go get you some. I got the world famous scribble and the mixed fruits on my first day and couldn’t stop thinking about it. Was there again to get Passion fruit lime icebox pie, chocolate chess, world famous scribble, and mixed fruit pie for my office and my boss says I need to get some for my wife today. That’s how good the pies are. They are in downtown Oakland and you sure can be in and out to grab some. Thank you to the owners, Oakland loves you and the pies already!

Comment: After hearing about Edith’s Pie from a friend and visiting to taste some options, my husband and I chose to have wedding pie instead of wedding cake for our wedding. Mike was great to work with, very responsive and kind! His recommendation for pie count was spot-on as well - we walked away with only two leftover pies - out of 16! We were also able to order some vegan pies for myself and a handful of vegan guests - no one could believe they were vegan. So many folks loved the flavors and hopefully will be visiting Edith’s in the future!

Comment: I was not a pie person before Edith’s pie. My mother in law raved about this place nonstop, and although I didn’t consider myself a pie person, I went out of my comfort zone and tried their pies. I have NO regrets. Hands down the best pies I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve surprisingly had lots of pies because every time people find out I don’t like them they introduce me to a new brand or bakery in the hopes I’ll change my mind. Edith’s is the only place that has been able to accomplish that. We get pies from here often now. Delicious, every single flavor, I recently had passion fruit and it blew my mind. The crisscross chocolate one (scribble?) is also delicious. The key lime (which is actually the flavor that historically has made me dislike pies along with cherry) was delicious.

Comment: I don’t need to explain in detail how good this place is. You’ll just have to try it for yourself. Top notch, high-quality pie. Both sweet and savory. Plus, they serve beer and wine. Not to mention, a super cute space. Perfect spot for a first date.

Comment: Flavor for both sweet and savory is always on point. Most recently had lamb hand pie with green sauce and porchetta sandwich, both of which were 5/5. Excited for fruit and corn pies during the warmer seasons to come back.

Comment: This place is great for a meal and dessert. Nice space with decent seating. Tried their quiche (broccoli bacon and cheese). Delicious. Crust is so layered and flaky. Just crumbles in your mouth. Got their go to the scribble pie and it’s a great balance of flavors and textures. Walnut forward. East brother beer and wine is available too. Highly recommended. They also have full size pot pies to go.

Comment: My first experience has been pretty lousy . I walk in to pick up from my prepaid pies that I already tipped on, and they tell me that I have to leave and wait 30 minutes to pick them up. They are closing at 5:30. Makes no sense that I would have to wait when Im staring at the pie sitting in a refrigerator . No apologies, sort of a rude dismissive engagement. I will not be back. Hopefully, the pies taste as good as everyone says, but customer service is everything.

Comment: Ediths Pie is the truth. Every single thing Ive had here, sweet, savory, doesnt matter, has been a 10/10. The hand pies are so good that eating lunch here genuinely makes my day significantly better. My absolute favorites (so far) are the Key Lime pie, the Grandmas brisket hand pie, and the Pulled pork hand pie. They are super creative with their pies, and I feel like every time I come in they have a new, unique, delicious creation that I cant help but try a slice of. Amazing.

Comment: So disappointing. Scribble pie had crunchy walnuts but a tasteless filling. Chocolate was tasty enough, but both pies had thin, tough, lardy bottom crusts, with no butter flavor and crackly edges. You shouldn’t need a knife to eat a slice but you do. Hoping the hand pie saves the day…coffee is good and comes in a real ceramic cup; a nice touch.

Comment: Can’t say enough good things about Edith’s Pie. I have been a longtime follower of their IG page, even though I live out of state. Today, I finally found myself in Oakland and made Edith’s my first stop upon landing. Everything about this place by far exceeded my expectations. I came in on a Saturday around lunch time by myself and was surprised to find it not crowded and with ample seating (a win for me!) The customer service is A+ and every person working here has the friendliest demeanor. Lastly, the PIES… wow, by far the best tasting pies and quiches I have ever had in my entire life — not an exaggeration! The savory pies are so flavorful and the sweet pies are the perfect amount of sweetness. You can truly taste the skill & passion put into these pies.I will rave about Edith’s to everyone I know. My new favorite food spot in the Bay Area!

Comment: I adore Ediths ever since attending a pop up of theirs at Lovelys in Oakland. When it came time to wedding planning, my partner and I knew there was only 1 choice for dessert - Ediths! I reached out and Mike responded so quickly and explained the options. We went in for a tasting where he gave us space to deliberate. Once we made our choices Mike laid out the information easily. It honestly could not have gone any better! He responded to every email quickly and thoroughly and the pies were perfection upon pick up all the way to dessert hour at our wedding. Cannot recommend enough for any event you would need the best pies in the world for!

Comment: Edith’s Pie is my favorite pie! Their buttery crust is so flaky and flavorful and I could just eat their pie crust plain! But I do love their modern takes on classics as well as their tried and true classics. My husband’s favorite is the World Famous Scribble. My favorites are the Banana Caramel (when they have it), the Sour Cherry, and the Key Lime (also when they have it). I love that their menu is always rotating so you get the chance to try new things. And I love that you can get single slices and whole pies!!!!!

Comment: New pie shop near work, stopped in for a breakfast hand pie and it was amazing! The sausage and eggs hand pie had great flavor with a flakey brown pie wrapping. Eggs were nice and fluffy and sausage was perfect, not even oily. Lastly, green sauce they gave with it sent the flavor right over the top! Highly recommended to pair with the iced coffee. Giving four stars instead of 5 only due to price. Hand pie was $10 but very yummy and a good size. If it was $6.50 or less I would give 5 stars

Comment: I went for a slice of the chocolate chess pie, which was pretty good. Not too sweet or rich, and it fulfills the sweet tooth. Ive also tried their sausage, egg, and cheese hand pie (fancy words for empanada), which comes with a chimichurri sauce, and that was quite good. They are on the expensive side ($8 to $10 per slice), but as the only baked pie place in the area, I think they will be successful here.
