Comment: Came for my first time, was greeted by amicable staff. Establishment was clean and the outdoor seating is a great asset. I ordered an iced Chai tea latte, flavor was good, seasoning on the top was interesting but overall pleasant to drink. Ambiance was nice, music was not too loud and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Attentiveness to customers from staff needs some work but overall they were friendly. For someone who came from out of the area, parking can be a bit of a pain but there is street parking and public lots to park at within walking distance.

Comment: One can tell Cognoscenti DTLA has quality coffee beans. We ordered a hot drip and a hand pour. It is not easy to find coffee that is good in all temperatures but Cognoscenti achieved that. (High quality artisan coffee still has good aroma and floral/fruity scents even when it is cold.) Prices are very reasonable and the employees are friendly as well. Please open a branch around Pasadena!

Comment: During my one week stay at Level, I frequented Cognoscenti nearly every day. It was a delightful experience each time. The staff were always friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The shop was tastefully decorated with a modern twist.I highly recommend Cognoscenti to anyone who loves great coffee and a cozy atmosphere. Its an excellent place to relax, catch up with friends, or even work remotely. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the coffee is top-notch. Comment: My coffee and quiche were fantastic! I got a cafe au lait which the barista did a great job making, and a mushroom quiche which was one of the best quiches Ive ever had. Better some in full restaurant settings. The service was great - baristas were charismatic and even checked up on how I enjoyed the food. I dont expect that at a cafe so I was pleasantly surprised!

Oat milk latte was the best I had during our 3 weeks trip in California, Almond milk iced latte, Oat milk cortado, Oat milk Matcha latte and espresso were fabulous as well. Comment: The baristas are passionate about the coffee served and, more importantly, my pourover was delicious. I also ordered an Egg in the Hole, which was legitimately gourmet. Its a piece of sourdough with eggs over-easy in the middle and rocket lettuce on top. The sourdough was beautifully tangy with a rustic crust, the eggs were perfect and the rocket mix added a light spice for contrast. Very impressive!

Its so yummy and it melts in your mouth (literally) and Im not too much of a chocolate cake person but man, it is goood! I also got a ham and cheese croissant and that was also really great. I love the ambience. Super friendly staff. They make your drinks quickly. Since it was my first time there, I didnt know what to order, drink wise. I got a mint iced tea and it was OK. Ill try something else next time. Definitely coming back with new friends.
