Loved the roasted flavor of the gochija and the taro milk tea tasted like halo-halo + the sweet red beans! Cost for both drinks totaled around $12.

Comment: This is definitely one of the best boba places in San Diego! Especially since its locally owned the quality is very good. I always get the tea frescas - premade fruit teas. The seasonal offerings are always great and I especially love the ones with blueberry and hojicha. The tea frescas are super affordable ($5). The boba is always super chewy and has a strong honey flavor, so if you dont like honey, get another topping. They also have customizable tea options with what kind of milk, tea, and toppings (the tofu pudding is always good). I always make sure to stop by here if Im in the area!

They have a user-friendly, non-overwhelming menu showing the teas in order of caffeine level, and always have a couple creative monthly specials. Plus, you can purchase loose leaf tea and other fun boba accessories. Love that there is some space to sit and work inside as well. A must-go place for visitors and locals alike!Only complaint is that we tried for two full months to get a hold of someone to set up a catering order for our wedding (which they say on their website that they offer). We tried webforms, calling, leaving messages with the employees, reaching out on social media, and even emailing the owner, and were never contacted back once :( In terms of this aspect of their business, we are extremely disappointed with the management. I would advise them to remove the option on their website or to give people a simple reply if they arent taking catering orders at this time. We found the complete lack of communication very unprofessional.

Comment: This boba bar sets itself apart from any other in San Diego in that the teas actually taste authentic and fresh. Most of the time I like boba or some topping in my drinks but this is the one and only bar where I would gladly just take the tea because it is so good. They are unique in that they have monthly special drinks but they also have unique flavored teas that you cant find anywhere else in San Diego. Try the seasonal drinks sometime. I like that they also have loose leaf teas, merchandise and boba supplies to make your own at home. The store is light and bright, there is plenty of parking in the parking lot and the baristas are super friendly.The only negative is that they are closed on Mondays.This is by far my favorite boba place in San Diego and I would highly recommend it.

Comment: Truly a unicorn of bubble tea shops. Emphasis is placed on using high quality tea, and the tea flavor shines through like nowhere else I have ever been. If you like loose leaf tea or matcha, this is the spot. If youre looking for more of a dessert drink like the brown sugar milks or taro milkshakes, this is NOT the spot. The boba is usually on the chewy side, if not firm. Ordering your drink *hot* fixes the boba texture issues, but thats the same at most places.Ive been in SD for 2 weeks on vacation and this just happened to be the first shop I went to. Afterwards, I have been to 3 other places in town but kept coming back here another 5 times. Its just so unique, and it gave me a craving for tea-flavored boba tea that I never had before. My favorites have been Jasmine and Puer, although theyve been out of Hojicha and Genmaicha. So sad to be leaving SD, partly because I wont be able to feed my Camellia Rd addiction anymore.

They have decaf options as well. I’ve enjoyed all the teas except the Scottish caramel- didn’t understand the flavor. HahaThe 20% sweetness is *actually* 20% sweetness xD, so I really appreciate it! I recommend 20% since 0% sweet is truly *no* sugar and feels like something is missing. If you love the true tea taste, then go with 0% though.For people who like sugar, my boyfriend always gets 75% or higher.Can’t change the sweetness of the fruit teas unfortunately, but they’re still good!Toppings: I recommend the tofu pudding or the boba.

The tra was delicious and I had a lot of compliments from those who attended. I come here when Im in the neighborhood and there are a lot of bubble tea spots - but this place has great quality tea. They also have monthly specials including agua fresca. My only complaint is that the parking lot is terrible sometimes. Oh and they dont accept cash so make sure you have a card when you visit. (You can tip in cash though.)

Comment: Dont let the strip club in the plaza scare you away from here, this boba shop has great service and will customize your milk tea to the way you like it. The staff was able to make my hojicha tea hot and not too sweet to my liking. Will definitely visit again to try their seasonal drinks.Side note, plenty of students come through here so you may wait a bit.

They don’t mask the taste of the tea with sugar and the boba is always so tasty with beautiful texture.They also have great milk substitutes and awesome monthly rotating flavors.The people that work there are always super nice and seem relaxed and happy - which is probably a testament to how well they treat their employees. And it’s a great place to do work, with plenty of plug-in points and internet that always works.Totally worth the trip and the price! 10/10 recommend.

Comment: Not what I expected for Boba Tea. This is the healthy version of what milk boba tea should be, and healthy is not always delicious. We ordered 3 different flavors: earl grey, mango and blueberry, and after gagging and struggling to swallow our first sips, all the drinks went straight into the trash. Was not for me or my family, but you won’t know if you like it until you try it. Maybe ask for a sample first? So you don’t just throw away $20…best of luck to you. I will not be back to try any other flavors though. Maybe if we have no exposure to other edible delicious boba milk tea prior, then these would’ve been tolerable? On the plus side, the girl at the front was extremely sweet and nice, and we didn’t wait long for the drinks at all.

If youre looking for crazier stuff like cheese foam, this isnt your shop, but if youre uncompromising about the flavors of your tea they wont be beat.After having tried every tea on the menu, its all great. One thing to look out for is their Oolong isnt particularly roasted, still a great tea, but if you want a roasted flavor characteristic of the Oolong you get other places I would go with the Hojicha instead.

I tend to get floral teas like jasmine and chrysanthemum and I know how easy it is to over steep these turning the delicate flavors harsh and bitter. Each time I come, I’m just so utterly delighted. Butterflies flit all the way down my esophagus with every sip. They respect sweetness levels and even have oat milk as an option. If you ever get the chrysanthemum tea, add the chrysanthemum jelly too!Definitely my go to boba tea shop!

Place can get pretty busy. Their drinks are great and even offer chia seeds as a topping for y’all who are trying to be healthier. Workers are friendly too. Overall, great spot. Hidden gem.

Comment: Came here with a group of two based on a friends recommendation. This place was busy at the time we went. A lot of squatters with their laptops. This place needs to find a way to make it turn over quicker. It was challenging to find seating for 2.Onto the drinks. It wasnt the greatest in my opinion. I thought it was quite sweet (even at 50%) and the tea wasnt strong enough (i got the earl gray).More importantly, the boba. It was just okay. A little to hard for me. Nothing unique to the boba itself. Needs to be worked on.I think there are other options out there.I have not tried their hojicha but there has been some great reviews about it. I will probably come back and try that in the near future.

Comment: My sister and I saw Camellia while walking between Menya Ultra and Daiso. It looked populated so we dropped in after dinner. The decor is quite bare, and they only offer honey boba, chia seeds, or chrysanthemum jelly for add ons, but you can choose dairy, almond, oat, or lactose free milk, and their tea selection is very nice. My puerh milk tea tasted great, and the honey boba were just the right sweetness and consistency. I’m a fan of doing things simply and getting it right!

With superb tea quality and a variety of flavors, it makes sense why people are constantly returning to this location for their boba fix. Comment: Ive heard this called the best boba tea house in San Diego. After trying it, I cant disagree. The honey flavor and slightly firmer texture of the boba are superb. The tea flavors are intense and genuine to their descriptions. I also very much appreciate the ease of tailoring the sweetness level and milk type. If theres a drawback, its the popularity of the limited seating with students on laptops, making it often difficult to find a place to sit. Still very much worth a visit though. Comment: The black tea had a strong, bitter flavor (which was good) but the Jasmine tea tasted diluted. The pearls had a good texture at first but they quickly became hard. The honey also had an overpowering flavor on the tea but that should be expected because it was called honey boba. A more neutral sweetener would be better suited for the pearls with an option to add honey for a sweeter but thats just my two cents.

Got a Scottish caramel tea with 25% sweetness and chamomile jelly which gave a slightly bitter but rich chocolate caramel flavor combined with a touch of sweetness and a lovely light floral touch from the jelly. So many unique combinations and all the teas are extremely lovely. Milk flavor is extremely rich. Not too expensive with fast service and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Not that I dont like those teas too, but this is where I go when I want quality. The Earl Grey and the Scottish Caramel Pu-er are my go-tos, but the rest are just as great (the Genmaicha is awesome if youre looking for something a little different). The daily tea Frescas have never disappointed me, either. The staff is always friendly helpful. I just wish they were open a little earlier; Im not a coffee drinker, so Id love to be able to grab one of their teas in the morning before lunch. Hopefully one day!

The jaamume milk tea was my favorite between the milk tea and jasmine milk tea. Boba was well made too. They did samples of some berry tea and a mixed tea, was yummy. I like it simple, but I think it would be a hit. They have samples every day so if your not sure go ahead and try some. Not sure how long samples will last, so go early. Or just try all of the.. menu is simple and not super complicated. Its a modern take to milk teas! Yhey are easy to find and ubering from downtown to thisocation was highly affordable. Easy access drom anywhere really. Parking might be difficult if you have a car. They have high traffic parking area. So, every place seems to be popular.
