Comment: Great Stumptown coffee drinks. Also you can get bags of coffee beans. The food is always tasty and different from many coffee shops. They have a big bakery assortment of Portuguese sweets. Nice seating both inside and out. Super friendly service!

Comment: I want to really like this place but so far… not my cup of tea. The place is very cute - the service is phenomenal but the food was a bit underwhelming :(We ordered the loose goose, avo toast, quinoa bowl, and cinnamon toast.Loose goose was good, avo toast is also good (but not significantly better than the avo toast elsewhere)The quinoa bowl was underwhelming, and cinnamon toast felt like someone accidentally poured too much cinnamon on the toast?I will still go back to order the other stuff, maybe I just got all the wrong ones for first timers.

Comment: We have typically enjoyed cafe st Jorge, but they missed the mark today. Giving 3 stars for past visits. Today, the chai latte tasted like sugar and nothing else, coffee with a splash of cream was half cream, they didnt give us silverware with our to go order, and the quinoa bowl leaked all over (not sure why they dont use soup containers). It also was not at all busy, so Im not sure why our order was such a mess.Removing another star. Just got home and was finally able to eat since I have silverware. The quinoa is completely undercooked and inedible.

Comment: This was an interesting place to eat. I ordered the Coconut Vanilla Chia Pudding and the Savory Waffle. I loved the waffle! But the chia pudding would have been much better if it was sweeter. The lady at the counter was friendly. This is a good place to go if you are looking for something different.

Comment: My favorite neighborhood coffee shop! I live across the street from cafe St. Jorge and I can’t speak highly enough of their coffee and bites. Whether you get a latte, cold brew, or one of their fresh juices - you won’t be disappointed. They have plenty of gluten free & vegan pastries in the morning. Their brunch menu is simple and delicious.I once took a few of my coworkers here to grab a bite before we a road trip, they ordered the toasted quinoa kale salad and could not rave enough about it. One of them said it was the best salad they have ever had.If you’re looking for a local coffee joint, this is the place to go!

Comment: Something happened to this place. It used to be my favorite brunch treat but my visit today was extremely disappointing. The waffled that I ordered simultaneously took 25 minutes to come out ( and then an inexplicable extra 5 for my smoothie) AND it was cold to the touch all the way through when it did. The first waiter I asked told me it was supposed to be cold (?!?!?!?!?) and when I asked someone else they said that the waffles were made fresh and supposed to be hot. Unfortunately when he offered to replace it he told me it would likely take another 20 minutes :( really not sure what is going on with this place. The poor service was extra baffling because the apparent owner was circling like a helicopter and offering special service to some customers or something. Too bad I did not make the list!Id skip this one for now and hope to come back in a year or two when the staff has been cycled through or the owners have figured out better how to run the ship! Too bad. :(

Comment: Cute little Portuguese coffee shop and local eatery with a nice selection of pastries, fabulous food, and a wide variety of hot and cold beverages. Great assortment of tasty brunch/lunch options, most served on thick yummy bread. Portions for most dishes are large and they dont skimp on the toppings or plate presentation. Good place for vegetarians and there are a few options that are likely vegan- and celiac- friendly as well.Lovely sunny ambience with walls decorated with colorful indie art, and small details like plant centerpieces in retro bottles and customized table signs and napkin rings. Theres lots of seating in a small space so even though its usually busy, Ive always been able to get a table right away. Nice spot for a breakfast date, coffee with a friend, or working from a laptop (though note they sometimes restrict laptops during peak times).

Comment: The smoked salmon toast was really special! Without a doubt my best toast consumed to date. Stumptown cold brew coffee was delicious, too. This cafe’s many tables were mostly occupied, but it wasn’t hard to find a seat.Room for improvement: make it clear if customers are to bus their own tables or not! Several tables were left dirty or cluttered with finished plates, and the cafe staff was not cleaning them up. This place needs a busser or a sign directing people to the bins to deal with their plates.

Comment: The house-made granola is so tasty! The fava bean crostini is amazing! This is a great spot for breakfast or brunch for 2-4. Not a good spot for large groups. The Stumptown coffee is well made and so rich. Coffee lovers, you will not be disappointed.Order up at the register, get a table number, sit down, and your food will be delivered to your table .

Comment: This is an adorable coffee shop with sweets, basic foods and nice drinks. The interior is very cute and the baristas are really friendly (unlike SFs most obnoxious coffee shops). Lots of parents and grandparents bring kids here so the vibe is child-friendly. Its located right on Mission street next to Safeway in case you want to stop in while running errands. Definitely check it out.

I recommend the coffee, to go.Ill be back for sure, next time Ill bring my MacBook.

Comment: This place is tops. I came in at 7am, moderately jet lagged, looking for coffee and breakfast before work. I had the quinoa bowl - like a quinoa almond milk porridge with cinnamon, sugar and fruit. It was delicious and tasted really nourishing. The almond milk latte arrived at reasonable drinking temperature with latte art in the foam and is the first almond milk latte Ive had in America that actually tasted good. This might be my new favorite local cafe.

Comment: This place is great and everyone should try to have at least one lunch here during the weekend. I had their goose is loose sandwich which came with ham, cheese, and banana (yes banana; just as they say on their menu, trust them) on buttery toast and it was just absolutely delicious. Im not exactly sure why they named it goose, but as great as it tastes, they can call it whatever they want.I also had their cocoa almond smoothie to wash that rich sandwich down and it was a great compliment to the buttery sweet sandwich. The slight bitterness of the cocoa heightened the sweet banana and creamy cheese and butter of the sandwich. The only complaint I have is that the chopped up almond pieces in the smoothie made it difficult for me to actually drink it up through the straw. That can all be forgiven though, as both were enjoyable and it will make me want to go back to try the rest of their menu.

Comment: Good coffee, nice atmosphere. However, if you try to sit and do work at this cafe, they ask you to place a sign on your table that says something like Im nice. Please feel free to sit with me. While, I normally dont mind sharing space, this can be a bit uncomfortable when trying to do work. So, it may not be optimal for that purpose, but a nice place for coffee, nevertheless.

Comment: Just tried the new Cafe St. Jorge at Mission & Kingston (the space formerly known as The Nervous Dog). My first experience was great - the coffee (from stumptown roasters) was perfect (I had a mocha - just right not too sweet, nicely balanced). I also had their Tosta Mista which is a Portuguese-style grilled cheese sandwich with ham. This was stellar - slightly smokey, crunchy and melty. They have a nice mix of savory and sweet things on the menu (with both real breakfast & lunch items). The space is open and uncluttered, the decor is light and airy; the staff is very friendly.I think I have found my new go-to coffee-shop in Bernal.
