Comment: I recently visited the most beautiful coffee shop in downtown LA. The interior is stunning and creates a perfect atmosphere. While the food was not very good, the coffee was excellent. Definitely worth a visit for the ambiance and coffee!

The chocolate cake slice was so moist and rich without being overbearing. The building is also very beautiful. I had no problem sitting and admiring the ceiling while I enjoyed my coffee and pastry. Comment: By far, my favorite coffee shop in LA, because it combines the two elements most important to me: high quality coffee and an inspiring atmosphere. Their fermented Brazilian coffees are unique, and the taste is so distinct that I cant simply expect to find it anywhere else. Located in a historic building with a professional feel, this place has been a perfect spot to meet with people or get remote work done. The best in downtown, the best in the city.

Comment: Located inside the lobby of The CalEdison building in the financial district of Downtown Los Angeles (across from the Los Angeles Public Library). Unless you are familiar with this area, it’s hard to miss.Coffee was smooth and their savory pastries were on point. Seating area in the lobby is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Employees are very friendly and they put their heart into making you the best cup of coffee.I highly recommend getting a hot americano ($4.50 for 8 oz) and pairing it with either some cheese bread (3 for $4.50) chicken croquette ($5.25) or beef croquette ($5.25). Great picker upper in the morning and afternoon.Parking is difficult around here. Not sure if they validate parking inside The CalEdison parking structure.

A quick walk from the Broad Museum (5 mins tops)Not only is the location of this coffee shop beautiful, but the service and coffee are always top notch. Friendly baristas and even better coffee.Ive tried almost all of their speciality coffees and have been impressed by each one. Generally I am not a fan of mochas, but their Sabotage coffee isnt too sweet and has a nice hint of spice.Recommend having your coffee there and enjoying the beautiful details in the lobby. Let your eyes wander and appreciate all the stonework!

Comment: The young man with dark hair working alone that day made me the most delightful butterscotch latte. It was wonderfully sweet without being too much. Whenever I have this barista, no matter what I order, my drinks are always on point. The pastries are also to die for! (Would recommend the chocolate chip cookies) Originally I was going to give this a 3 but because of the great service, Im keeping my rating at a solid 4.

Comment: I was in town from Seattle and stopped in on a weekend, but they were closed. However, they were in the middle of a training session and kindly made my wife and I drinks, even though they could have sent us away. The staff was very kind and willing to help us. The owner was present, and was also very accommodating and did not act bothered by us. He sold me a book that was from his marketing materials, which was technically wasnt for sale. On top of our pleasant interaction, the coffee was excellent. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a cup of coffee and enjoy the Art Deco interior of the Cal Edison Building. I wish we had such nice and helpful people in Seattle. Thanks!
